I look at the strength that Newk has through his quads and buttocks region these days and think to myself how the hell would you bring him down in a tackle?

Plus he has arms made of steel so he is able to keep his arms free to dish of a handball whilst standing up in a tackle.

I think once he really understands just how strong he is he will go to a other level again and we could be in store to see a level of physical dominance not seen since Dusty was at his prime.

He is one tough individual. Remember the game against the Tigers and Balta …… just looked like he wanted to hurt someone as the sore loser didn’t like the belting he was getting.

Middle of the ground high ball coming in, Newk running backwards not knowing what was coming. Balta runs in to take a mark with the one knee pointed straight out knowing he was going to car crash someone. Newk didn’t flinch and copped it straight in the back/side. I thought broken ribs or worse potentially going into playing finals. Went down in a lot of pain waved trainers away never went off and saw out the game and played the following week. Very happy we him wearing our colours

Can we please, please, please just absolutely destroy Richmond this year? I mean a 100+ point belting.

We owe those filthy mutts big time for all the cheap shots these last eight years 🤬

Also worth pondering whether Nuke will be the first player in the history of the HFC to be on $1 million plus a year when his next contract comes around (he will).

For most players I am hesitant about those long term, big money contracts but I think Newk has shown such incredible durability it’s a lot lower risk giving him 7 year thumper.

When you factor in his amazing durability (he hasn’t missed a match since he made his debut) it’s hard to argue.

Sic and Day are both elite players but Newk is the kind of guy you build a team around.
He missed a game last year, second last game.

Caddy and Hopper's largest contributions have been injuring Will Day. I hope we belt them for the next ten years.

Two thumpings (one ruining Dusty's party) last year doesn't suffice?
Not even close.

Two absolute thumpings every year for the next say six years and I'll call it square.

And the good thing is looking at their list profile compared to ours that's probably an excellent chance of happening.
