Agree he knew what year it was, but not what team it was. In 1907 and 1908 Carlton won the premiership. He knew exactly what year it was - that’s what pleased me so

Kicked that 50 meters with ease, once he builds a tank and can avoid fatigue affecting his action he will tighten his action up naturally.
I think the Wizards inaccuracy stems from a temporary case of nerves and perceived pressure which I am sure he will rectify as he settles into the pace and expectations of senior AFL football.6-17 with 5 total misses. Can this actually be fixed?
You wait, in the not too distant future, in a similar number of games, that will be 17-6.6-17 with 5 total misses. Can this actually be fixed?
Is this a serious question?6-17 with 5 total misses. Can this actually be fixed?
How many were set shots compared to general play?6-17 with 5 total misses. Can this actually be fixed?
Probably not. Should delist him now to save us the trouble6-17 with 5 total misses. Can this actually be fixed?
Found how the club has handled him quite interesting.
Usually for a rebuilding team, a pick 5 player would be used to sell hope and be doing a fair bit of media, even more so an x-factor player like Wiz. He had a nickname before he played a game, cult hero status.
Yet, the club have hidden him to a degree. He hasn't done any media that I'm aware of, apart from the stuff on draft night/1st session stuff.
Think it's a clever move to ease him into his career and focus on the footy.

I think you're reading into it too much. I think he's just going out and wanting to play his hardest, the way he knows how. He's had a poor run on the conversion, but like the great runs that others have had (Breust, Gunston) these things ebb and flow. It will even out at some stage.I reckon he's trying too hard, like wanting to be a fan favorite right away (putting to much pressure on himself). Look at him when his up the ground a bit and running into the forward line crumbing or delivering the ball, it all looks so natural.

I would agree with you if the same problems hadn't plagued him in junior footy. Matthew Lloyd probably said it best, at junior level his poor habits didn't matter as much because he'd still end up kicking bags, but we really need improvement in this area for him the fulfil his potential.I think the Wizards inaccuracy stems from a temporary case of nerves and perceived pressure which I am sure he will rectify as he settles into the pace and expectations of senior AFL football.
Similar to McKenzie last year who was putrid in front of goal I think the huge step up in speed and workrate sees The Wiz gassed when he is kicking for goal far more than in his junior career. No doubt his kicking gets better across his career.I think the Wizards inaccuracy stems from a temporary case of nerves and perceived pressure which I am sure he will rectify as he settles into the pace and expectations of senior AFL football.
Putrid? I give you his first 3 attempts were points, but by round 10 he had kicked 3.4. If Watson’s accuracy was on par we wouldn’t even be discussing the topic. Mackenzie was also drafted as a midfielder not a goal kicking specialist.Similar to McKenzie last year who was putrid in front of goal I think the huge step up in speed and workrate sees The Wiz gassed when he is kicking for goal far more than in his junior career. Feel like McKenzie lacked penetration with his kicking last year but another summer in the gym has rectified that. His technique has always been fairly sound. Watson's routine seems all over the shop, whether it's minute one or 100Similar to McKenzie last year who was putrid in front of goal I think the huge step up in speed and workrate sees The Wiz gassed when he is kicking for goal far more than in his junior career.
