He certainly looks the goods, and not just because the rest of the team is playing like shite. The last kid we had come in and make an immediate impact in his first few games was Cyril.

I keep saying it, but he has all the attributes of a young Fyfe, who was also a string bean with rangy arms who could compete aerially and get himself in and out of contests.
We will no doubt be looking at how we can turn him into a similar weapon with a few preseasons.

Looks like he's already added size compared to previous photos, so bodes well

I'm fully expecting him now to make Mark of the Day. Coincidentally, I expect the same with Goal of the Day.

Maybe Channel 7 can bring back 'Play of the Day'?

Same here. I was all aboard the Kemp bandwagon, and I'm very glad to have been proven wrong here.

I'm absolutely stoked we draft Will and I was on record as wanting Kyaiah Pickett. Day and Pickett albeit different types of player will both be guns. Kemp we don't know yet but it's still early days and might also prove to be good too. We still need to get ourselves a Pickett type or two so here's hoping. Wrighty has a lot of work to do.

I haven't been as excited to see a players repeated efforts to get ball since… gulp Cyril. That play where he killed the ball OOB and then the smother excited me in ways only Cyril could. In a strictly hetro way of coarse

Will be interesting to track his progression against another young highly rated player in Lukosius. Very similar players in terms of position, size and how they play.

Seeing what Luko has done for the Suns this year has me even more excited for what Day can produce for us in the short term. Watching him run off half back and get involved 2-3 times in a chain is great to watch and his finishing going inside 50 is elite. Forwards would love having those types kicking it inside 50.

Lukosius is more like Sicily in that he is an intercept mark, quality kicking defender that is allowed to play loose on his man for counter attacking plays, the negatives are that they can be a bit too loose in defence at times, Day is more of an all rounder, good defensively and 1 on 1, but also good on the counter and smart with disposal, also has great agility to get out of trouble.
