He certainly looks the goods, and not just because the rest of the team is playing like shite. The last kid we had come in and make an immediate impact in his first few games was Cyril.

I keep saying it, but he has all the attributes of a young Fyfe, who was also a string bean with rangy arms who could compete aerially and get himself in and out of contests.
We will no doubt be looking at how we can turn him into a similar weapon with a few preseasons.
Just need to draft a Knight.I'm fully expecting him now to make Mark of the Day. Coincidentally, I expect the same with Goal of the Day.
Maybe Channel 7 can bring back 'Play of the Day'?
Now I like your way of thinking. Suits him perfectly.Only youngster on the list that's worthy of the number 9.
(Still can't believe we gave TOB 23)
I'd like to see a 'Day of the Week'.
You'd think he'd be a certainty for 'Day of the Year'.
I wish they'd bring back the woodchop and Club Corner.I'm fully expecting him now to make Mark of the Day. Coincidentally, I expect the same with Goal of the Day.

I'm absolutely stoked we draft Will and I was on record as wanting Kyaiah Pickett. Day and Pickett albeit different types of player will both be guns. Kemp we don't know yet but it's still early days and might also prove to be good too. We still need to get ourselves a Pickett type or two so here's hoping. Wrighty has a lot of work to do.Same here. I was all aboard the Kemp bandwagon, and I'm very glad to have been proven wrong here.
I haven't been as excited to see a players repeated efforts to get ball since… gulp Cyril. That play where he killed the ball OOB and then the smother excited me in ways only Cyril could. In a strictly hetro way of coarseHe has more Fyfe-like capability than Whitfield for mine. He's quite good in the air.
You’re not Gay for Day?I haven't been as excited to see a players repeated efforts to get ball since… gulp Cyril. That play where he killed the ball OOB and then the smother excited me in ways only Cyril could. In a strictly hetro way of coarse
Sounds like someone doesn't like Willy?!You’re not Gay for Day?
What is wrong with you?
Sounds like someone doesn't like Willy?!
Hey I'm all for Willy. In fact Clarko finally managed to Free Willy and I think its high time he Free Finn.Sounds like someone doesn't like Willy?!
That's why I keep coming back. The 1st rule of the Hawthorn BF Board, every thread will eventually devolve into puns.
I nearly threw up thinking of this but to me he plays like James Hird, who Fyfe was compared to early days. Fyfe can't kick like Day and Hird though. He's already a better kick than Fyfe could dream of being. Let's hope he develops that freak athlete side of his game.
Same here, those puns are what make my Day.That's why I keep coming back.
Day to get his own “nutritional advisor” in 3...2....I nearly threw up thinking of this but to me he plays like James Hird, who Fyfe was compared to early days. Fyfe can't kick like Day and Hird though.
I hate Hird but would be over the moon if Will could be even half the player he was.
Day to get his own “nutritional advisor” in 3...2....
Ya know we can hate all we like , truth is James hird was a helluva footballer and if willy is half as good then its a big win.I nearly threw up thinking of this but to me he plays like James Hird, who Fyfe was compared to early days. Fyfe can't kick like Day and Hird though.

He's calling Charter as we speak.Day to get his own “nutritional advisor” in 3...2....
Will be interesting to track his progression against another young highly rated player in Lukosius. Very similar players in terms of position, size and how they play.
Seeing what Luko has done for the Suns this year has me even more excited for what Day can produce for us in the short term. Watching him run off half back and get involved 2-3 times in a chain is great to watch and his finishing going inside 50 is elite. Forwards would love having those types kicking it inside 50.
