Looks like the hype machine has been set to "Maximum Thorp".
I'll just be happy to see him get through unscathed. And it will be interesting to see how he handles the rise in tempo and pressure.
One thing I've noticed from the few clips I've seen is that he seems to have great spatial awareness - and a really good step on him. Great attributes for a bigger bloke to have.

The first leg of our 2017 Holy Trinity is now in place.... Ryan Burton.

Next year, Conor Glass and Luke Superman complete the triumvirate.

Exciting times.
Surely, if he gets going, Surman's nickname becomes 'Superman'?

Very true, last week grabs the ball surrounded by Werribee and Hawk players, a shimmy to the left and he cruises clear and passes it off.
It was Jarman like.

Thanks BOP.
Hopefully both players (and David Cunningham and Jesse Palmer too) are eased into it and not have the situation envelop them.

I remember reading about Richard being touted early on (October-November 2014) as a No. 1 pick.

Hope you guys cheer Richard on as loudly as possible as a way of showing support.
Will do ;):thumbsu:

Good On Clarkson For Giving The Lad A Crack. Tim OBrien Has Done Well But Has Tapered Off A Bit Which Is Expected With A Young Player. He Obviously Wants A Tall Forward In, So Why Not Give Burton A Chance? Im Not Expecting Much, But Nor Would I Expect Tim O-B To Kick Five Goals Either If He Stayed In. He Is Sticking To Structures And He Is Giving A Kid A Chance And Either Way Burton Or OBrien Would Be In The Line Up. I Dont Expect Much From Him Because He Is Debuting In A Big Game For Us, And If He Under Performs Tim OBrien Comes Back In Next Week. Its All About Structures And Tim O-B Needs A Run In The Vfl Regardless Because Of Form, And With Schoey And Roughie Out Burton Is The Only Other Choice.

Mind You Heatherly Is Incredibly Stiff To Be Left Out!

Do you have a script that capitalises every word you type or do you genuinely press shift at the start of every word? And if the answer to any of that is yes - then why??
