This year he looks so determined to take out his flaws essentially habits he has had for years and play at a level not to lose his spot ever again!

FWIW - he’s never played at Box Hill, nor been dropped.

Just felt that last year with Blanck, Siss and with Weddle coming onto the scene (Mitch played him on some quality KPF’s including Cameron/Cunrow etc) Frosty fell a bit in the pecking order due to some of his frantic runs with ball in hand that lead to some costly turnovers ……. but to his credit he has clearly taken this out of his game this year

On BigFooty - yes. The pitchforks have been well and truly out for him here.

At match committee - not even a hint.

He was confirmed to be playing injured last season, rested for Rds 13-14 and came straight back in. Then put on ice after Rd 20.

Has been a huge improver in 2024. Simplifies his game and plays within what he knows he’s capable of, has been one of the better performing key defenders this year so far.

Has the tools, good size to take talls and power forwards, but since limiting his clangers he’s gone to a new level.

Capable of intercepting at a high level, has sticky hands, great closing speed and is still versatile at ground level.

Huge props to Frost and Kade Simpson.

Gotta be some Frosty love here after his efforts yesterday.

He was absolutely cooked late in the final quarter with all their repeat entries yet still went hard at the ball. There's no way he should have been able to make that spoil (against Findlayson? I haven't rewatched the game yet, probably won't, trauma is too real) but he did! Left it all out there.

Mids should definitely be buying him a few coffees this week.

He was massive in that last quarter, I know exactly the spoil you mean it was huge.

Would have done Gibbo proud with that golden fist. Would have been great if we got the chocolates and he could have shoved it up Ports arse but alas we couldn't hold on.

What a year he's having.

Frost has been great this year and he's always been pretty good defensively. I got shut down for saying it previously about him being in competition with Blank for the lock down full back spot but Rob McCartney confirmed it and said Frost has played more games than he expected due to the opportunity with Blank being injured.

Last year when they played together Blank did lock down well and didn't touch it, and Frost was getting it too much and had to be used as an outlet and offer rebound.

This year there is 0 expectation on Frost to get the ball or be a transition player. Due to his speed and strength he and probably some coaches have tried utilising him as the dashing out of defence player but he doesn't have the skills and decision making for that. This was evident in him at Ormond under 10s

Against west coast there were a few times he intercepted or was switched too in space and he resisted the urge to play on and just went back and hit a composed short pass. Most of his mistakes over the years were rushed passes after marks that he really could have just settled and not had to take a risk.

If we keep him in this role as a lock down that can play on nearly anyone and have him settle he can be a key part of the side for a few more years.

Frost is in the top 20 for disposals per turnover this season, with 8 disposals per 1 turnover. Also featuring from the Hawks is Will day with 9 per which is ridiculous inside mid stuff.
