Was shouting his name at the TV pick 53 (and 32) - very happy with this pick-up. Looks like a stretched version of Troy Schwarze

Welcome to the club, Dean Cox’s son. Should have gone Father son.

My son played with Alex in under 18's sturt this year.

Meeting him a few times Alex is a genuine good person and is a professional.

Watching him play, he runs a shit load and covers the ground extremely well. You don't see it in highlights very much but he does get a heap of 2nd and 3rd effort ground ball. Meaning he doesn't just loap around being Mr big... he is very active.

His downsides only are he sometimes takes the ball from ground and bomb kicks its from the clearance instead of a nice exit kick 25mts to a running player but what 200cm player does that well.

As a crows fan, he reminds me of a young Shuan Rehn But has some Grundy traits to the way he covers the ground.

I really rate this selection for you.

Enjoy

Love getting this bloke in.

Insane that so many clubs passed over him multiple times. Gonna prove them all wrong, just like Arie last year.

If Keeler can stand up as a R/F we will have the best 1-2 punch in the game.

This was such a 'surely not' moment in the draft. It's why we follow it and put ourselves through torture. When he kept getting skipped over and over, we've done well lately with these guys.

To think Boxshall & Dodson were among those who we all wanted at the Barrat pick, we did very very well.

I found something super interesting in those articles. Ivan Soldo was a major influence over his ruck craft and progression into the best ruck in the U18s. Weird little full circle situation this off-season!

Ruckcraft could do with some work - pity TC isn't still at Sandy.

One thing I did notice is that he knows how to handball. If he makes it it would be good if the team had a few outside line breaking runners who can kick the ball.

Sounds like the perfect Marshall apprentice.

I’m very excited about Dodson. Been posting about him for months.

Sky is the limit.

Few things here.

The tackle. The movement around stoppage for a ruck post hit out and then look at him run through for a handball receive 😂

A week later. The tap work. Spread from contest again like a midfielder 😂

And all of this again at state level. Seriously his desire and ability to stay in the play and link up…. Is Dean Cox like.

I was thinking it’s a shame Paddy Ryder isn’t still there.
