Does he play before Wood, JJ, Williams, Crozier, Daniel, Suckling or Richards? There's 7 half backs in front of him! Even if Richards moves to the wing and Williams on ball, Duryea is still nowhere near getting a gig.

I always liked him at Hawthorn and was sorry to see him leave. He was a good contributor to our 2014 and 2015 premierships: he played almost every game in those seasons, always put his body on the line and had pretty good skills. I never worried about him like I did with a few of our other young players.

All signs point to an ACL. Going the early call, but I think he’s going to hang up the boots now. He’ll be 32 next season and would miss most of it anyway. Being out of contract this year, won flags and doesn’t need to do much more in the game, I think this will be it for Doc

Fingers crossed it's a strain or partial tear.

Duryea has sneakily gotten close to 100 games with us, currently sitting on 92 and will get up to 95 by the end of the H&A season. Looked finished last year but has been a valuable part of our team this season

He get a 12 month extension too if he wants it, on current form.
Doc has been a hell of a pick up for us.

His kicking has deteriorated a little over the last couple of years (read an article that he's our worst ball user by foot), and once you see that you cant unsee it, but by **** I love this guy.

Tenacity, leadership, guts, determination, does his job no muss no fuss week in, week out. Hope his body holds up enough for him to go around again next year, because we don't really have a ready made replacement.

Another absolute steal for a potential 100-gamer.

I didn't hear the interview myself, but I was told he said had a new baby last year that wouldn't sleep, and it really effected his preparation and performance. He had a long think about whether or not he was even going to play this year.

Baby's sleeping through now and he's back to playing well.

Well he didn't plan that very well. You're meant to get to 100 games for the WB first and THEN start breeding.

It's OK to practise though.
