I would love if somebody could upload a 10-15 minutes highlights video of Bontempelli. I mean, I could do it myself... but I'm lazy.
You could just watch this for 10 minutes instead.

Probe into Rising Star betting gathering legs ... Leak fear re Lewis Taylor.. All major betting agencies opening books ..

This is interesting.
What an embarrassment for the AFL if it turned out to be true, one of the voters leaking what their votes were before hand.

You don't get everyones money on Bonti and then pay everyone out by letting him win... its just bad business giving money rather then taking it...hmmm

Driving to the VFL GF we were waiting to park behind a queue, in front of us was Mazda 6, the wait was dragging on and the door of the Mazda 6 opened and out jumped the Bont he started walking. A bit later two of his sisters jumped out and started walking as well. The Mazda finally got up to the automated ticket kiosk which was credit card only. Bonti's dad couldn't' get it to work so he pulls out of the queue while we tried, it didn't work for us either(dam wilson's parking). We had a chat to him and told him to follow us to our secret free car park (I can't tell you where that is because then I would have to kill you). Bont's dad and his other sister followed us and parked next to us. We had a quick chat and headed off to the game, really nice people and obviously good club people which is what we want.

Listening to 3AW on the weekend and heard them award their GoodGuys Goal of the Year award to Bonti. They then interviewed him for a couple of minutes. He always sounds so good, certainly has a very mature head on his shoulders and we are certainly lucky to have him. Not sure how many previous first year players have even been nominated for Goal of the Year let alone win it. Well done to 3AW for getting it right! A bit like the Rising Star how the AFLPA righted that wrong as well. Well done Marcus on an outstanding first year and we are all certainly looking forward to many more in future as you develop.

Congrats on getting Bonts, looks a dead set champion and exactly what we need. Build a club around him for the future.......I tear up just thinking about him not being at the Pies
So do we!
It's been a dismal year but Bonty has been a rare ray of hope for us.

Just watched his second quarter v North. Wow.

His combo of reading the play and let's endurance just gives him the ability of turning it on and being everywhere for a quarter. Slides into damaging positions and makes it count.

What a prospect

I have it on good authority that a video highlights reel of Bonts' season tipped the balance in Bevo's decision to apply for the job.

Well I'm sure it would have :straining:

And Stringer vs StKilda/Essendon and Macrae vs Gold Coast, some kids we have at the moment.

Yeah, I just watched that quarter too. How good was his smother and lightning handball to Crammers in the middle of the ground! He was the only reason I kept watching it!

Anyone remember vs Carlton, Bont stepping out of a tackle?

I was surprised when he done that, was just like.....nope
Distinctly remember one passage of play in which the Bont evaded a tackle and fired a trademark Bonti handball over the top, resulting in Crameri kicking a goal from 50. He's going to be unstoppable when he starts throwing his weight around.

Ok, so, Exams for 2nd Year Chem Eng Monash just completed, stoked for the freedom ahead. Looking to deliver on my goal of making the highlights real of Wood's year as I think it goes srsly underrated by everyone in the AFL world, there were some seriously special moments that had me amazed... ANYWAY

Here we are at the temple, been quite a while since the freakish goal was kicked, had my own analysis on it but too busy to piece it together to share. Now i'm as free as it gets, so while we're up and about on the back of the Bont's first year hype, just ran into the goal again on Youtube.

Watched this on a lazy Sunday at a mates house, it's been a few years now that we've been on a ladder position that is disappointing but begs for us to beat the likes of St K, Melbourne and the expansion clubs. And here again it's even Stevens until the Bont kicked in.
Surrounded by the complete Melbourne Back Half, harasses Frawley to drop the ball not once, but twice not to be paid on either of them, Dominantly rakes it in away from congestion of Bail and Koby, Continues to evade a desperate effort from bail with a remarkable spin which in turn causes Bail to smash into a lunging Jetta and snaps the miracle.
The one thing I wish to contribute to what I think is so bloody amazing about this goal is what everyone called the 'fake'
To me it wasn't a fake as to say a fake is normally showing the motion of a handball/kick to something that perhaps was never there. From my observation, it's mindblowing to know that in reality, Honeychurch was standing there available for the handball which Bont quickly summed up as an option but saw he was being marked very closely. In that simple moment, he makes it a 'fake' and kicks it to the perfect height off the boot to avoid the smother into the matchwinner...
Personally never get too hyped on players to not build up unnecessary expectation, but I sat there on the couch in pure shock; he is one hell of matchwinner and so happy we got him with the output he gave us this year. Exciting times ahead

One of my absolute favourite things about Bonts, is he just thinks before he lets go of the ball. On so many occasions he'd pick up the ball, see the first available option look like he's about to handball it to him before pulling out and hitting a much much better option, all in the matter of seconds, its a seriously impressive trait.
