Haha I was thinking the same thing!
He needs to bring back the hair if he wants to remain the kids favourite. Bont and stringers on field heroics surely isn't helping.

Anyone on here with young kids, who are the kids favourite these days?

Dahlhaus and Stinger the favourites with my boys. It's OK as Dad gets to be Bonti :D

Three favorites in our house. Bonti, Stringer and Murph. "The little guy" (Caleb) closing in fast!

I have 2 girls - 5 and 3. Ms 5 year old loves Bob Murphy and points him out when she sees him on TV and at games and has drawn pictures of Bob for me. Ms 3 year old also knows who Bob is and what he looks like but she assumes anyone playing for the Bulldogs is Bob Murphy.
Ms 5 year old can also point out Stringer to me. These are the only players they can name.
Ms 5 year old finally announced to the family that, "I'm a Bulldogs supporter..." My wife, a Pies fan, was a bit upset. There has been a fairly intense battle for the hearts and minds of our girls between me and every other member of my family and the wife's family. So I am pleased to announce I won the battle for Ms 5 year old and hold the advantage with Ms 3 year old as she can not name any Pies players.

I would like to thank Bob, Stringer, Bevo, Gordon and everyone else for making us so much more watchable this year. I wouldn't have won the battle if we kept losing. Go Dogs.

You must be so proud of your daughter. :thumbsu:

I love the Bont. Is there any player in the whole comp that you would trade him for? None for me, not gaj (amazing but best behind him) Fyfe, an epic contested bull but not as highly skilled.... So on and so on.

Some may argue hogan. That's about it though. And it's based on the fact he's impacting games so early on in his career that he me better than anyone in the league. And it wouldn't be worth trading him out for someone like Fyfe who Bont may be better than in 2 years

I wouldn't argue for Hogan.

Difficult as key position players are to come by, you take the freak in the middle, every time. And besides, when Bontempelli goes forward he is a more than competent key forward regardless - his aerial ability is growing before our eyes, the ball gravitates to him and he's generally a reliable kick for goal.

Seriously, we've got the two most talented players in the competition, and they're producing at an elite standard at 19 (Bonts) and 21 (Stringer). If they stay fit and we manage to keep grubby opposition mitts off them, following this club will be one hell of a ride for the next decade.

Leigh Matthews said the other week that the dogs had the two best players under 22; Bont and Stringer.

That's pretty big for Leigh.

Agree. Actually think both Stringer and Bont will be top 5 in the comp in a couple of years. I have Stringer's ceiling marginally higher than Bont. Scary thing in that? Bont is Fyfe like (but he can kick), but Stringer is Ablett snr like (IMO).

Another victim struggles in the wake of the Bont
