Career threatening quad soreness. Certainly a unique injury pattern- all the best to emu, or 'Bower the Power' as the HUN said we had nicknamed him.

Very much at the crossroads IMO. Reported and injured yesterday, and as the TG said, others look like they are going to go past him.

Really does need to play the role of the 3rd tall down back, but 2011 looks like it's going to go the same way as 2010 - injury prone, and sadly out of form.

when he does get back for the Blues he will blow them all away.......when he gets there.......soon would be nice

Bower is easily in our best 22 and will be for a long time. He is easily in our top 10 most important players. God people have short (and annoying) memories

You are correct Alpha, but it would have been favourable for our back half to be settled by now.
It seems we won't get an Austin or Watson settled into CHB this year and this is why Bower is all the more important to our structure.
Anyway, we won't be embarrassed for a back six of: Jamison, Russell, Bower, Duigan, Yarran and an alternating Laidler, White or Armfield.

Just no more injuries to these guys, please.

We seen last night we will get smashed with a midget backline.Adelaide was unlucky to lose it was a mistake that cost them at the end.We need Bower or at least throw in Watson

After what happened last year, I would imagine that they are taking absolutely no risks with his recovery and return to senior football.

Can't be far off now though.

AFL,VFL or whatever league whats the difference where he plays he could do a knee or any injury playing for Bullant Reserves and be out for the year.Bower should be playing if his near fit.

Maybe we need the Lord Of Biomechanics to refine Bower's gait from headless chook to human.

Don't know if that's contributing to his leg problems.



I'm a fan, but Bower might go the way of Thornton who was a fixture in our 22, but failed to keep pace with the improvement of our list. We hoped he would become a tall defender, but that was probably more out of need, than what he could do on power KPF.

I say if Bower doesn't make it the recruitment in Carlton is woeful and Hughes needs to go.

Bower,Mclean,Austin and now Hampson all 4 are not firing all possibly gone after 2011 except Mclean.The large list of early picks to follow who transferred like Grigg and Kennedy where their was better picks at the time. The guys like Hartlett and Edwards and others.
