West Coast denied judd of coming to Collingwood!

I know u guys have probably heard enough of this, but in the main Geelong paper, its repoerted that Judds prefered team was collingwood, and west coast said no to dealing with us. They felt that we were the 2nd best team in the comp, and judd would make us more 'dangerous'. So they sent him to some looser club! haha.

It would be nice if true, but i doubt it, i think he was always going to Carlton, but if that is true thats a massive thumbs up for both our on and off field abilities. Well not really off field because he didn't come to us lol. I am also happy we didn't get him as i think he would be way to expensive in the way of youngsters.

More Judd? Wood over time will be ultra important to our structure and is a massive addition we couldn have got if we gained judd aswell as getting rid of some promising young talent. I am glad we didn't get him

Then how come when Collingwood played in Perth during the year some of the more powerful members of Collingwood didn't return with everyone else. He was always coming to Collingwood, but the Eagles refused to deal with us. The same happened with Fraser Gehrig. They are still fuming at Collingwood for taking MM.

I'm pretty sure the minimum WC would have wanted would have been a top ten draft pick (which you didn't have) and one of your young players.

Chris Judd based his prefferd club option on four things:
1. Success in the short term
2.Good facilities
3.Strong board
4. A club who could provide him the money

In my opinion, all these things came down to Collingwood. Im sure that Chris Judds number one prefferd club was Collingwood. I sound biased but he couldnt chose Collingwood because W.C would'nt of traded with us. Thats a fact. The chances of him coming to collingwood were a hundred to one. for us to trade with the eagles it would of cost us too much

Its bad luck in the end but lets all move on with season 2008 with our promosing list + Cameron Wood.

Why would they have traded for pick 14 and some steak knives when they offloaded an injured dude to Carlton for top draft picks? Who cares, WC couldn't run a hot bath let alone a footy club. If they had of flocked Cousins off after the 'Run Ben Run' incident maybe Judd and others would still be there. After today they will be lucky to recruit Lance Whitnall as a midfielder. There is no past, only the future.

not true my mate hangs out with Chris judd sister and she told him the pies was his first pick but due to thepies and eagles dont get along and the eagles not wanting judd to go to a very good team they told judd he has the option of carlton or richmond

I never knew that? ............... that Geelong had a main paper and I guess therefore, a not so main paper.

I think his incentive was 95% money. When he interviewed Carlton he went to that Rahem(Pratts Place, however its spelt?) mansion, why would he go there? That place really has nothing to do with Carlton. Eddie could off taken His girl on a tour of Channel nine but he didn't. Its not football related. Also, don't Carlton play at the Telstra Dome a fair bit? A place where he didn't want to play to much.

IMO your list on face value is good, not outstanding, but you are very very well coached. Malthouse is a genius, as was shown by your 02 03 grand final appearances. Those teams weren't particularly overladen with ability, but very well drilled. Best coach in the comp by a long way.

watch it then tell me that you would give away what was on that film, even looks like Medhurst wants to be at Collingwood more than Judd did

Possibly. At least reasonably close.

IMO your list on face value is good, not outstanding, but you are very very well coached.

How could any team be outstanding when 10 débutantes played during 2007? These players could quite possibly become outstanding though, along with a few that haven't played yet. It's more promising than 2002-03 in my opinion, and further improvement is quite realistic for 2008, and even more realistic beyond next season.

Well the quality of the players would suggest maybe they were still pissed.. Though for Morrison they didn't get much in return (or was it the Williams deal they got Adkins?)
