I think Williams has huge upside. With this in mind, I’d be looking to give him enough senior games during the second half of the season to avoid him languishing in the graveyard that is the Beagles right now.

You're right. Let's put him in a team that averages 5 less inside 50s than the second worst offensive team in the comp.
I'm sure he won't languish in the Eagles forward line.

Have you seen our 1s play?

For his development we'd be best to loan him to a club with a reserves side if we could as he is one that should be starting Wafl reserves. That's a not a knock on him, it's just where he is at and needs to start somewhere

I’d expect that will improve in the second half of the season, and I’d rather be on the end of Shuey, Kelly etc than two plumbers and a yoga instructor.

Yoga instructor has great swervability though

Looked like Josh Browne got a fair bit of the footy v WP. Hopefully he can keep on developing, despite the weekly shellackings, and put his hand up for draft selection either mid or end season.

Yes, outstanding numbers, but he wasn't alone either. Quite a few had impressive stats, which seems odd in such a shellacking. Trew is another who looks to have had a good game. Did anyone watch the game at all?

I caught the first half. Trew was better, linked up okay, but also saw him scrub a 2m handball and generally not look like an AFL prospect. I think there’s more to work with re: Browne.

From what I saw (about a half), Browne knows where to go to find a cheap possession. There is nothing wrong with having a guy who can find space, but he would need to work a bit on his disposal otherwise he becomes a meme like Gaff where everyone complains about him kicking the ball around the corner and would rather the ball be in someone else’s hands.

But he is only young, seems to work his backside off and, as you say, has plenty to work with. It is pretty hard to judge the qualities of young players when they are playing in a rabble of a side with no senior support.

Really? Are you telling me Redtube is lying to me? I thought ladies loved a bit of end to end plumber action. I guess I should quit my plumbing apprenticeship then.. 😩

TREW is so unfit stress factures have stopped him doing any conditioning, he needs another preseason again to show his worth.
He should be on managed minutes

If the club is putting him out there with bad shin splints to play the entire medical and strength and conditioning departments should be sacked. It will be 20 years in september since I had horrendous ones and I still can't run on anything other than soft grass with very high cushioning runners without high levels of pain.

You.can pretty much write off development at WAFL level this year.
Interesting watching a depleated GWS lose to Werrebee in the VFL curtain raiser (8 goals to 16) but a pretty strong competative effort and team structure just beaten on class. Eagles must sort something out - no other group will help us.

Busslinger in for East Perth (League debut?) and also Dittmar named in a forward pocket. Interesting to see how they both go against the Beagles.
