These players would be off the table -

Nic Nat, Kennedy, Darling, Shuey, S. Selwood, Hurn and Wellingham (recently acquired so there'd be no point in trading him)

The rest (excluding the premiership players) I would be exploring offers to see what we could get

So what you're saying is you want someone ranked in the top 20 in terms of inside midfielders, but you're not willing to give up anyone of value for them?

No doubt we'd have to give up a first rounder or a second rounder but I have no problem with that, we did give up last years top pick for Wellingham after all

Mackenzie should be on the no-trade list.
Once Glass retires he is central to our team balance.

Underating of Gaff there, he's a star, finally learning to break a hard tag and its only taken half a season.
Most players take two years to get over hard tags.
Last two weeks he has been sensational against great opposition who targeted him with hard tags, and he
beat them, what's more he is starting to develop his inside game as well.

Well thats what you get for being a Wingman with pace. You will be tagged. You can not let guys like him run loose unless you want him to Damage your team.

Stephen Hill has had a poor season disposal wise because he has been heavily tagged. The upside of Hill being tagged, Danyle Pearce and Mundy are freed up to do damage on the scoreboard.

.
Sydney should value Parker about as much as you value Steven, a lot.

No way is Parker as valuable to the swans as Steven is to us. Steven and armo are the only midfielders we've got coming through that have shown something significant, Parker gets lost sometimes amongst the many midfield stars that Sydney has.

We don't have any more onballers running around in our reserves, though, other than a couple of rookie listed players who have been great at NEAFL level but might be a bit vanilla for the top level. We have McVeigh who can slot back into the midfield once we don't need him on a HBF but there isn't much more depth in that role. And ROK will be retired within a year or two. Bolton too, though he's not spent much time onball this year.

Parker may not stand out as much in our midfield as Steven does in the Saints', but he's still making a valuable contribution in there.

We actually have more depth to cover the role that Gilbert would play, with Alex Johnson to return, Dean Towers playing a similar role, and a lad called Alex Brown who may or not make it but would be ideally suited to that role.

You don't give away 20 year old star midfielders Gilbert and a second rounder is giving him away surely you can agree with that
