Re: Western Region Football League team

yeah but which one it sounds like he has had a few going on past posts
Rest assured there will be another club next year - follow the gravy Tappy, thats why they call him swinging doors because every club he joins they have to install them as he gets out quick

Re: Western Region Football League team

hey guys just wondering who looks like the big improvers this year?
any big name signings to any club this year
are port going to reclaim their title back?
cheers guys!!

Re: Western Region Football League team

torren bonnett & blake twomey have been killing it at the colts, expect very big years from these 2 guys

Also thought masis, critch and mcgregor were going well and the sight of sam hoath on the track with his speed and agility was promising.
The rock looks gone though age is catching him but the cougar goes from strength to strength, easily the best form and shape of his career.

Re: Western Region Football League team

Whos this Bunworth fella? dont think hes been down yet. Is he tall/small? Goodd to hear that he goes alright though. massive step up from divvy 2, but if he can play we are happy to have him.
Travvy has been burning up as expected, the bloke is a freak. would be happy to say he would be the fittest guy in the league... anyone know of any others? Massis was a machine in Jets days. Also Theodore would be up there as well.
Also Chippy Connor is the fittest hes been coming back from Willy pre season along with Foles, Mentha and Goring who are looking good.

Re: Western Region Football League team

Thanks guys for all the feed back, going by what everyone has told me is that
hoppers spotswood and sunshine are a bunch of dogs what does dog mean in this state?

hoppers have the money but they dont play 4 the jumper

sunshine are soft

spotswoods are in with the wrfl and are disliked by everyone.

st albans ride there goats to the game. are you serious

port colts seem to be a tight group who keep playing off in the gf

Bunworth is a player that will have us as a base club - he currently is with Port melbourne, and will do like Mentha and foley did over the last few years

Re: Western Region Football League team

bit boring all this constant bagging....

footy talk - who is burning up the track at various clubs?

Ben Harris is probably the stand out at the moment. A few of the younger kids are training well. We probably arent where we were this time last year but we are building it up. We may not be as red hot early as we were last year but as Port have proven, its a long season and there is plenty of time to get it together.

Would be staggered if he played seniors at Port Melbourne, but I guess if they are not aligned to an AFL team he could play in the magoos all year.

Cabs: (not sure how to multi quote) he is about 6ft, lean build. Like I said in a previous post has pace, decent skills etc. Play wing, half forward and will be a handy pick up.

Re: Western Region Football League team

only asking percy ive only been living here for 3 months and thats the feed back I got which club are you from?

Sorry mate just being a smart ass. Regarding every club it is a bit hard to make a generalisation. Every individual club will tell you something else about their opposition teams. Every team has their strengths, and their weaknesses...with some more than others in either way. For someone to call another team a 'dog' doesn't mean much until you've played them yourself and made your own opinion. Obviously there is the success side of clubs that i could detial, but if your after a character profile of the clubs you might have to keep fishing around for people's opinions. Hope that helps for now.

Wouldn't go to North Footscray, second division. Spotswood, you probably won't get a game for neither Sunshine, Hoppers or Colts. You might want to try Altona or Glenorden. They need tall players....

Re: Western Region Football League team

I also heard today that West and Yarraville are really struggling for numbers at training. Hopefully they will be right to go come season time but the signs don't look good.

More clearances on the WRFL website. Bunworth gone from Wyndhamvale to Sunshine. Very good division 2 player. Bit of an outrider, but good pace, skills and eye for a goal. Probably play on the wing.
West are struggling big time

No big signings. There was alot of talk and hype but nothing has been put on paper. Heard Bones and Smitty went up bush on the weekend to the Charles Perkins Aborginal Carnival for some recruits. Also been talk that some people in the club are requesting to stay down in Div 2 this year due to lack of numbers and no signings. If they stay in Div 2 will still struggle to be a major threat will prob make finals but that is all. Also Bones 2 sons that were supposed to be certain starters have fallen through. Lochie has signed at Spotswood and Lucas is a whisper of Darley in the BFL or if he stays at West only wants to play every other weekend.

West look like they are on the brink of a collapse. Just have to wonder if they have problems internally with the executive board ??

Cheers

Tragic

Have to comment, pretty piss weak with all the retirements, surely Lane being the gun forward he was meant to be for all those years playing divvy 2 would at least hang around and help to stabilize the club even if it meant just sitting in the pocket, what's his son doing or has he shot thru also..
