That's one of the reasons I believe why the new Senior Club in Point Cook is going to the Ammo's

Why?
Minor scuffles on the field, these are men playing a mans game.........there will always be some sort of aggression on the field!
Verbal banter is always good on the outer, as long as it doesn't get out of hand!
What about the incidents of late in other leagues, WRFL would have to be proud of the fact none of that type of sh1t has happen in the juniors!

Spot on, very obvious why we all have to drink light beer at finals this year. Cant beleive Clarke would dispute that.
Ive been to many colts games where i have seen clarke the so called captain coach mouthing off and inciting the oppostion crowd. I have even seen him verbally abuse old ladies 55+ years of age from behind the fence calling them all sorts of stuff. Its a disgrace, should have more porfessionalism about him to ignore whats being said from behind the fence, especially as a leader of a well respected club in the wrfl. Looks bad for club and the league when a player on a first division ground is mouthing back at supporters and threatening them.
Charging at oppostion supporters in the crowd after the game is certainly going to incite the colts supporters to doing the same and backing up the captain coach.
All this over a couple of young spotty supporters taking the mickey out of him after they won the premiership, how bout copping it on the chin? absolute disgrace to react the way he did and incite that trouble.
Nothing better than going to the local footy and seeing supporters giving lip over the fence after a couple of drinks as thats what local footy is all about. Shouldn't be playing if you cant cop it from the crowd.
Cascade lights can thank j.clarke from colts for the extra sales this september!

You silly fool, this subject has been done to death. And dealt with brains by an independent.
Brett Jacobs is our captain
Find it interesting that you think there's nothing better than blokes getting into players over the fence that are having a crack at playing. great courage bet all your intelligent mates laugh and the kids around you are impressed. But then you go on about Clarky doing the right thing.
Its probably good to have light beer with upstanding citizens like your getting around.

All the Verbal banter and tough on field stuff still happens in the Ammos. Its just that the verbal doesnt turn to blues and indescrections off the field as often (or at all) at the Ammos, as supporters do not have a skin full.

With the city the way it is at the moment, and all the violence at Local sport, Alcohol is the common denominator. (obviously there can be other factors too)

Our society has a problem with alcohol. unfortunatley, there are too many ferals who cant go to the football and not get pissed without carrying on like a pork chop.

Maybe clubs serving alcohol, should be hiring security with the rights to eject people from games if they are causing trouble???

Or is it that Light Beer will be the way of the future??

If the light Beer finals go off without a hitch, then it may just become a more permanent fixture.......

A silly fool !!! Ha ha !!! Add to that Born outside the waterbag, simpleton and probably an employee of a sheltered workshop.Enough said.Dont waste your time on fools like him, he is more to be pitied.

Here goes lads. The W.R.F.L is investigating the Jensen matter which happened directly infront of a former hoppers commitee member who happens to be a highly ranked cop and had 2 uniformed police with him. Hence the cops turning up on sunday and gathering info from the match day organiser. The other investigation is into Molan Comming from behind in a 4 man marking contest and Knocking out No9 from hoppers which was blatenly obvious. Back to the Jensen matter. If he is infact charged by police, then he will be clear to play as any decsion by the league could incriminate his assault charge. Otherwise the charge can be dropped and the league can act. But we all Know this league don't we. Congrats hoppers, you showed a lot of character on sat and no matter who you are, must be respected for that. Blake (inka) thought the sunshine player had the better of you but you guys must be congratulated and Harro coached really well. One of the best pre-game speaches i've heard.

This is a tough one. On one hand you have the theory that the occasional biffs are apart of footy, always have been and the idea that what happens on the field stays on the field. On the other hand you have the school of thought that players are actually assaulting one another on the field and sometimes it's clearly premeditated, vicious etc. and further action should be taken. I don't know, it's a tricky one but I'd be more leaning towards what happens on the field... although I have seen an incident or two over the years where I thought action might have been warranted as I'm sure we all have. You wouldn't want to open a can of worms though.

Anyway some big games this week, should allow for some good footy at Chirnside.

If what you say is true, then the 3 officers may also have a duty to also investigate Jensen's 'clumsiness' and how he ended up on the deck against the fence. There is little chance that they could have missed it. As for the other investigation, well then some selective vision is at play.

Correct Filo. If Jensen does end up charged then Dougie may also have to answer some questions. As for the other incident, i hope you don't mean that the selective vision is on my behalf. Because it happened right infront of me and i don't support either club. Would love all clubs in finals to be at full strength so that you get cracking games.

Well he may not be liked by many, he plays with his heart on his sleeve, he was lucky to play in the grand final a few years back but we lay that to rest. people make mistakes obviousley hes admitted it get the F over it.

Alot of the SFC supporters Enjoy it when he has his say, its good local footy entertainment.

Though playing at the colts would have to be the worst place to play with there following, but what can you do.

What are the chances of Fabian Webb returning Rock07?

So were there any reports or?

Bigfooty is getting more interesting,

Word has it that Parkside are $$$$ up and will make a huge impact next year which is good.

Where will this leave the clubs like Altona n co,

hey there buddy.........every 1 seems to think parkside are a shoe in to win the flag........my team d/p are still there and if we make it im sure that we will give them a run for there money.....so untill they win it nobody can really say anything.........

cheers

could be lots of charges been layed then, our courts will be busy.
no mention of how it started either funny bout that.

Spot on Bow. Doubt it will go ahead, but just posting what i'm informed. Just wondering if hoppers will employ their policy of no playing the week after being knocked out? If so, would Doyley get a call up for ruck duties? Lol

Heard they were in squeeling to the umps at half time & even threatened to pull the pin.
As far as the melee goes hope someone has a recording to see who started it........

No need for the unintelligent directive comments, this is a public forum and im voicing my opinion. Seems as if you would be another to get sucked in by the local crowds. You have to accept it and get on with the game as it happens at all footy matches from AFL down, its part of the game and gives the game some atmosphere. Retaliating from on the field is not the right answer and has proven to cause problems on and off the field. Not a good example to the youngsters coming through the club either.

Yes you must have been watching different games, that player has been doing that for years now, first to throw the sneak go and then hold his arms up in the air when others come in to even up,espically against players a lot smaller than him.

From what i have heard cannot believe no umpires made any report's,if it had of been a Colt's game they would have been writing them out like parking ticket's and that is no joke i am being serious.

Will the weak as piss WRFL take what happened any further,if they don't have heard Hoppers intend to,think you may find he may be facing assault charges from the Jack's.:thumbsu:

Police were at Altona on Sunday asking the match manager a lot of questions re Saturdays incident. May not be only the WRFL RJ has to be worried about. Apparently two police officers also witnessed it and have made statements.

I believe no serious injuries were sustained, so hopefully it's just left for the wrfl to deal with, in my opinion coppers are not needed.

His point is far from unintelligent. This matter has been discussed to death 10 months ago and all associated voiced similar opinions to yours. I think its time to move on from this issue and focus on currents topics for the sake of the thread.

I couldn't and wouldn't say who or what was responsible for Jensen having a rest on the fence. It could have been a seagull for all I care. The selective vision is on the part of the person who brought the other incident to the attention of the investigators. They have conveniently failed to see and report other incidents or have simply viewed them as part of the game. So no, you don't have it but someone does.

maybe he should not take cheap shots at people over the ball and expect nothing coming back in return, after all wasn't it someone that looks very like himself that come from behind and sneaked one on his agressor in the ensuing mellee.
