Im jumping in a bit late but i really like the original posters design for a West Sydney Wolves team. And LeeARM's twin vertical stripe design is great too, good for the Pioneers name IMO.

While im not that interested in the team itself i hope they do go for something like the Pioneers namesake, with a traditional style jumper with a blue colour scheme.

I think its something that the people of Western Sydney would relate to with the area west of Sydney being quite historical for early Australians (pioneers if you like) and is something that was really pushed at school up their when i was a kid (i went to high school in NSW) and the blue colours will help pull some NSW fans who dont like the Swans but are true blue NSWelshmen, even if they dont live in the area.

Are you talking about the one designed by a six year that they wore for a few games last year?

I must admit that was a major improvement on previous efforts from the Power

I don't know how it started.

But its the one which is all black with a white and teal 'V' similar to the old south melbourne jumper.

Its going to be their home jumper I believe. And their clash jumper is an inverted design witht he black and the white swapped. As far as I know their old one is gone for good.

Happy to be corrected though.

Am I correct in saying it was designed by a six year as part of a comp the club was running? Always amazed me that primary school kids showed more logic in footy jumper design than the overpriced designers/marketing people that the club employed showed.

Message to the AFL when it comes to designing a new West Sydney jumper save some $$$ and open it up to BigFooty.

The Under 18 comp is only 3-4 months away, surely GWS will announce or ask for supporter feedback on colours / designs and nicknames soon, like GC17 did ... are they behind the 8-ball now?

Used Lee's logo for the centerpiece.

I could never understand what is so irational about getting an 8 year old to design a jumoer, really at the end of the day, there are more kids running around with Jumpers on there back, at footy training etc. Make something appealing to them.

I'm still liking 'wolves'. Here's another version. I really like the socks I did for this one... maybe we need a socks thread:).

That logo is sick!

Don't like the colours though... I reckon it's gotta be a variation of blue.

^^^ the logo looks fantastic. Not too sure about having the emblem so prominent on the front though. Not a fan of large designs on guernseys.

Blue just didn't work with this design, so I've tried an orange version. A few minor changes to the uniforms also.

THat's really good, but it's Balmain colours. I reckon you'd have to take league teams colours into consideration to avoid inter club rivalries as a factor. The idea needs to be to unite everyone in the West under this club who are otherwise rivals in their native code.

That's the beauty of blue, every NSW person relates to it...

You mean blue like cronulla sharks, canterbury bulldogs, titans, roosters?
I get your point, and there IS a strong case for using blue. But I don't think the ARL's colours are such a problem (see swans/dragons). I think it is very important to avoid ARL nicknames though. I've tried a blue version anyway but the orange would be my favorite.

I heard that to begin with the Swans had a biut of an issue with sharing St.George's colours.

As a North supporter how do you feel about sharing YOUR colours with WS? Orange or green aren't used by any AFL teams (Freo have some some green but its not the main colour), I think this is more important than worrying about League. And as I said before cronulla use light blue so if you have a problem with orange/west Tigers then you couldn't use light blue either.

Sky blue and royal blue is fine.
Sky blue and white is getting a bit dodgy
Royal blue and whit is obviously not happening.
Sky blue, royal blue and white is likewise off limits

I onlys ee two combinations which include blue to be an issue. Sky blue and black a-ok, sky blue black and white a-ok. Sky blue, royal blue, black and white, while rediculous (and unfortunatley becoming the norm - if you include the GC then the last three clubs have had 4 colours which is a massive wank), is still a-ok.
