Umpires are becoming a blight on the game...

Dogs worked their way back into the contest fairly in that 3rd quarter providing for a close game. Last quarter was absolutely ABSURD umpiring. I counted 3 times that the dogs DROPPED the ball and the Eagles got pinged for holding the man?!!? Then Selwood in the forward line WTF!

Absolutely HORRID umpiring. Find some ****en consistency umpires, this is ridiculous and you are ruining the spectacle of the game.

Has there been an umpire in the history of the code that has had so many close ups as he leaves the arena to the jeers of the crowd as Chamberlain. We will get the usual crap from Geischen on Monday, let me predict the line....'see if you slow the picture down to ultra slow motion you can see Picken grab the hand of the tackler'.

Wake up AFL week after week the umpires are deciding games and the fans are sick of it. The game needs to be a physical contest and the result decided on the field not by some little man with a whistle.

Mcburney would give him a run, both think they are part of the theater of the game... no place in umpiring for these sort of clowns in my opinion. Do your job and shutup.
First of all both McBurney and Chamberlain are grand final umpires, so they cannot be that bad. In relation to the decision, Selwood didn't make an attempt which means it is holding the ball.

Errr, every fan here is complaining irrespective of the side they support...

Every week West Coast supporters whinge. Every week. Win or lose West Coast supporters whinge about the umpires.

It becomes a case of the boy who cried wolf.

There is no defending that terrible decision for the Darling goal.

The only 2 I have a problem with is the Selwood HTB and the Darling pull down. They both cancelled each other out in the end with goals to the other team so I dont have any problem with it. Umpiring the last couple of years in most games has been dreadful.

So what? Supporters from every team do. West Coast supporters have also been fairly disgruntled at umpires in wins. That's not sore losing or blaming the umpires.

Most people here are capable of watching a game and rating them on their merits. You're about the only person that has a real problem with it.

There is no defending that terrible decision for the Darling goal.

NOBODY is. You look at the West Coast gameday thread and EVERYONE said it was another terrible decision.

Yes...all you eagles fans are right. Seriously!?!? The umps are the sole reason the eagles lost their 40+ point lead....take some accountability!

Dogs should never have let themselves get that far behind but good on them for showing some fight!!!

How could he make an attempt when as soon as he got the ball, Dalhaus basically had 80% control over the ball!!

NOBODY has said that. Read the West Coast gameday thread and you'll see everyone upset with the manner in which we were playing.

Exactly. Win or lose West Coast supporters whinge about the umpires. Every week.

Do you deny there are terrible decisions each week? Not sure why it can't be discussed on an umpiring forum

Selwood never at any point had possession of the ball. Pretty hard to make an attempt to dispose of it under those circumstances.
