Now i dont wanna get ahead of myself but if we get lucky in the draft i reckon our team would be superb.
Pick 12- Steele Sidebottom
Pick 30- Neville Jetta
Rhyce Shaw
Pick 61- Luke Jehrico
Rookie Draft
Jason Davenport
Elevations
Smith
Murphy
Retirements
Everitt
Matthews
Delistings
Nick Davis
Laidlaw
Thronton
Brennan
Luke Ablett

Starting Lineup
B- Malceski, Richards, Bevan
HB- Kennely, C. Bolton, Mattner
C- J. Bolton, Goodes, Shaw
HF- McVeigh, Hall, O'Keefe
F- Vezspremi, Jericho, O'Loughlin
R- Jolly, Kirk, Sidebottom
Int- Jack, Currie, Jetta, Moore
Emg- Barry, Bird, Buchanon

If sidebottom, Jetta and Jericho blossom then i think there is no reason why the team above can't finish top 4 next year!:D
Any Thoughts?

I am more worried about our backline Ted at fullback ?

Mal playing as a hard dedicated defender, not off HBF ?

Is that serious ?

We would be murdered

There is no chance in hell we will pick up Sidebottom.

There is a chance we can get sidebottom.
1. Watts
2. Rich
3. Nic Nat
4. Tyrone Vickery
5. Michael Hurley
6. Jack Ziebell
7. Hamish Hartlett
8. Chris Yarran
9. Shaun Mckernan
10. Jackson Trengrove
11. Sam Blease
12. Steele Sidebottom

This outcome is very possible!

Who the hell is Luke Jericho?
Whoever he is I dont think we need another forward just yet.

Well done on the rest of the side, I agree on Teddy at FB and us picking Sidebottom.

I think you have got ahead yourself..

Forget Jericho, if the Crows dont want him with virtually no fwd line as it is, why would we need him?

Jetta, ahead of Buchanon in the staring line up?

Bird as an emergency?

Back line has ?? over it...

Top 4 you think ?

Sidebottom would be a good pick up, would prefer Bleese if we get a midfielder first up.

No chance of getting Steele at 12, Yarren and Blease won't be that early.

Yeah, I have to agree with all these points.

Emg- Barry, Bird, Buchanon

I'd easily take any of those emergencies over Jetta and Currie. Easily.

Even Luke Ablett, whats wrong with him!?

Jetta, yes.

Currie is a different matter, though, because he's a ruckman. And with Everitt gone, he is almost certainly going to be first back-up to Jolly. So for structural reasons, his spot on the bench makes sense.

That said, you'd reckon the Triple Bs will start the season in - or in Bird's case, in or very close to - the best 22.

Why would there be any suggestion Bird won't be in our starting 22 next season?

Because he was probably the 21st or 22nd player picked each week last year. Because he finished the season out of the team (albeit soreness might have contributed to that).

Because if even some of Schmidt, Fosdike, Crouch, Laidlaw, Thornton, Meredith have more luck with injury than last year, they will be competing with him for spots in the midfield/bench.

Because if we pick up a quality midfielder with our first pick and he has a decent endurance base, he too might be pushing for a spot.

Because we've recruited Rhyce Shaw and not lost anyone who occupied a midfield spot last season.

Because it's not uncommon for new draftees to have a pretty good first season but then go slightly backwards in their second year (often before becoming very good long term players).

He had a pretty good season for a newbie but it wasn't so outstanding that he's clearly ensconced in the team and hopefully there will be lots and lots of competition for his spot.

I'm quite surprised that's your position.
He was a first-year player, and Sydney in recent times has not given such playing time in seniors to someone so raw. The fact he steadily improved through the year indicates he's at least at the level the club had hoped, if not well ahead of it, and as far as I'm concerned a place in the first 22 is his for others to take from him (assuming the second-year problem doesn't arise).

Every player you mentioned, including Rhyce Shaw, would be behind Bird in my opinion.
