What are the best/worst predictions ever made?

Some of mine:

BEST
1991 - I tipped Fitzroy to defeat West Coast in the bottom vs. top game in the final round, and the Lions won over the Eagles.
1997 - Adelaide were my pre-season tip for premiers
2003 - Sydney to upset Port Adelaide in Qualifying Final
2005 - I tipped the Swans' premiership that year
2006 - After the Eagles won the flag, I predicted that the side would slide quickly. West Coast were second last by 2008, last in 2010.
2014 - I thought Hawthorn would easily beat the Swans (over-whelming favorites) in a one-sided Grand Final, and so it proved.

WORST
2000 - I had Melbourne last, and the Demons finished runner up
2004 - I tipped Hawthorn to be Top 4, and the Hawks were second last with a 4-18 record.
2005 - I had Carlton in 7th given the Blues improvement in 2004, seemingly good recruiting and winning the pre-season premiership. The Blues went back to the bottom of the ladder.
2007 - Port Adelaide to defeat Geelong in the Grand Final. Only 120 points out!
2009 - St. Kilda to miss finals (Saints minor premiers and runner up)
2010 - The Gold Coast would be more successful than fellow newcomer GWS
2012 - Melbourne's Liam Jurrah to win Brownlow Medal. Jurrah played only 1 game - his last ever - that season.

Robert Walls tipped Melbourne in the 2000 Grand Final. From memory he said our form was patchy because we lost in 21 and Collingwood stayed with us in 22.

Completely ignored the Qualifying Final and Preliminary finals.

I remember pre season predictions in the Herald sun in 2009 were saying that st kilda were going to win the spoon.

They got that a bit wrong.

Gonna need a photo as proof of that. There is no way anyone could have honestly thought that was possible unless they had the worst injury run of all time.

Nearly every year I seem to be bang on when predicting the Adelaide Crows’ season result.

2012 - predicted to rise up and be a premiership contender. They came second on the ladder and were a goal away from a grand final.

2013 - expected them to stay up and contend. Was wrong this one.

2014 - predicted them to middle and Sanderson to come under scrutiny. Crows miss the eight and Sando is sacked

2015 - predicted they’d make the eight with Dangerfield playing in his contract year, and they did, making the semi-final

2016 - predicted them to make top four, and only a last round loss prevented that from happening

2017 - predicted them to lose the grand final, and they did, although I had GWS premiers

2018 - had an inkling they’d go stale and miss the eight, and they did despite being minor premiers the year before.

I am sure Caro has some howlers but I reckon she's not bad and a hell of a lot more accurate than some experts, especially with overall season performances.

She tipped Hawthorn's slide in 2017 when most still had us making finals.

That wasn't really a hard prediction. A straight sets exit from the finals was a pretty big indicator that they might slide the following year.

Yeah the point was more that Caro was right while many others - who are the so called on field experts - were wrong. Not that it was a life changing call.

I’m feeling a 10th-14th finish from the Crows next season. Despite all their injuries last season, I see little upside and real reason as to why they should return to the top
