Have the Hawks and Dogs been too clever?
As reported in the Age, Rawlings has asked the Hawks to delist him. If there was no collusion, this won't be a problem for them. They say they are going to try and resign him.
If either of these things happen, the Dogs have effectively traded Brown and Alvey for Veale. They will be livid with the Hawks, and you would expect all other teams to be very wary of the Hawks at best.
If the Hawks don't delist Rawlings, and don't re sign him they are indicating that they have a deal with the Dogs to send Rawlings there without his consent.
They are in a delicate situation seem to have some troubled waters to negotiate.
My guess is that they will stick to their no tampering line and delist Rawlings (or re sign him) to allow him into the national draft and stiff the Dogs big time.
