i heard this morning on the radio that the AFL will release a statement soon about what they will do about the eagles situation - draft picks and premiership points.

that is the most ridiculous thing. eagles have done the right thing since the AFL has been involved with their stuff this season.

the eagles have done everything in their power to help ben cousions adn should not be punsihed for it. if the afl strip off anything! .. i hope eagles come back next year and win the premiership to show we don't need whatever they afl choose to bloody take away from us.

True. I am one eyed but it would be stupid for the AFL to take away our draft picks, etc now.

I'd rather cop premiership points than lose draft picks.

Points will hurt us in 2008, short term.

Lost draft picks will hurt over 5 years, with Judd and Cousins gone we need to get some quality back in the squad. Our list is nowhere near as weak at Carltank's was when their entire senior management was caught cheating the system so we should still be very competitive IF we can keep the rest of the list together.
