English would have been handy last week covering the defensive hole.

Or just giving Martin a chop out in the ruck. He has a good leap about him Tim, let's see Pickett try to leap over him to win a tap..... Would have eased the one-way flow out of the midfield too.

We will need currency for....Macasey?
Macasey signed last week.
As for who is available, we either sign Chol as a UFA and hope he can transition from utility to a full time KPD, or become someone's superannuation plan (Tarrant, Astbury or Hooker for a year) then we go again next year.

As someone posted a few days ago, McAsey re-signing doesn't mean he's locked in either emotionally or as part of Adelaide's long term plans.

It may just be a bit of mutually agreed manoeuvering to strengthen their respective hands come the trade season. There are precedents.

That said, I'm just an onlooker as the McAsey bandwagon rolls by. Not at all convinced yet.

Happy to look at Chol, a state-leaguer or a superannuant ... whoever looks a reasonable bet for the next 2-3 years. In the meantime we should be looking to draft and develop some of our own over the next draft or two (recognising we are a bit short on picks this year) so that we are well-stocked with KPD options over the 3-8 year time frame.

Josh Schache is a case in point. Signed a two year deal mid-year before Brisbane traded him out.

It seems to be the exception rather than the rule.

Why would a player sign a contract to ensure that the team they are with gets a good deal, and therefore risk getting to where they want to go?

He may change his mind but no chance this is a plan.

I think for all our sanity we have to take the contract in good faith or we’ll be speculating on every player in the afl.

Any 18 year old with a profile as high as Marra's would be getting absolutely hounded by his mates to try to cut the line at a nightclub.
In the end you would try it on just to shut them up. No way would you expect that some media flog would jump on it and spin it into this sh*t storm.

Everything that I have actually seen of Marra in the media makes me believe he is a pretty level headed kid.
Until I see something that makes me think otherwise I will reserve judgement. Clickbait journalism is not worth the time it takes to read.
what 18 year old wouldn’t give it a try I know I would have

Not sure what's sadder. The post or the shared account?

Old people often have shared accounts.

It gives the men plausible deniability when they are asked if they have a Facebook account.

Not a good look from Scotty - he must realize how this is inevitable when you are near the top of the ladder. His son would be an automatic inclusion in 12 other teams but we aren’t those.

Would Port, Melb, Richmond or Geelong find a spot for Rylee?

He just needs to keep adding tricks to his game - and knocking over huge games in the VFL - frustrating as it might be - take the right attitude and he becomes better than he might otherwise become with an easier pathway.

It was his wife commenting.

He’s commented in that group before and certainly doesn’t text like that.
