Why does the football media have to be so immature about a coach potentially just seeing out his contract and moving on at it's conclusion?

This happens in sport right around the world and is handled professionally by the clubs and the coaches involved.

There's no need for it to be a drama unless a whole group of professional muckrakers from dieing media outlets are desperate to make it one.
I also find it interesting how little media coverage there is of the soft cap and salaries for coaches these days. Coaching renewals are seemingly only looked at by the media on a binary basis but (for example) there’s an enormous difference between renewing Bevo on his same salary vs on a reduced salary that let’s us go and upgrade or increase the number of assistant coaches.
