I've had enough of all of these kents already.

Nothing would satisfy me more right now than drafting H.Reid and watch him kick a bag against the tin-rattlers.

And anyone else wanting to entertain splitting the pick in this massively compromised draft needs to give themselves an uppercut as well.

What gave you any form of confidence WCE would actually win another game after the season we've had?

I really hope you don't gamble. Confirmation bias is not a reliable strategy.
Thanks for your concern. I actually don't gamble, though I used to set odds for a rather large bookie before I went back to uni in search of a better job.

Flipside; North will now finish bottom of the ladder 3 years in a row.

AFL absolutely cannot ignore the need for premium draft assistance anymore.

All those 'but North have improved!' stuff is gone.
Yep watch norf now get
Pick 1 for being the shittest team 2023
Pick 2 afl assistance for being so shit
Pick 3 Mackay compo

I was writing a post last night about how our 2022/23 seasons are artificially bad because of our injuries and don't in any way represent the actual ability of the list in spite of its obvious deficiencies. I was going to say we'd finish 17th if we'd avoided all the contact injuries and didn't play so many underdone players through the middle of the season. Finishing 17th is a better reflection of where the list is at and this isn't like 2009 where Richmond, Melbourne and others all tanked towards the back half of the season chasing Tom Scully.

Picking up Reid in the context of not being the worst side in the competition would have been a coup. I understand the angst there. The reality is we've still going to get a good player with pick 2.

Perfect, so you'd understand that 16-1 is such an improbable chance that it's not worth considering?
No, because there is more that goes into trying to predict future events than cherry picking whatever stat happens to be at the forefront of your mind at any given time. Though you are unwilling to see that and apparently don't get some pretty basic concepts in probability (which is fine, not everyone learns about everything and I am certainly ignorant of many subjects too). Admittedly I was less than gracious in bringing it up again.
