How is Maryborough shaping up for next year after a big improvement under Fisher? He was unfairly bagged before the start of the year. Any signings etc?

Settle Nuffy - winning 2 more games in 08 is not a "big improvement". And the extra 2 wins came as Sandhurst went from 3rd in 07 to wee bum pus in 08 winning 1 game.

He did manage to add to his losing finals record and went straight out. Some things never change.

Bit like serge's record isn't it fatboy? Never coached a premiership but lost plenty of finals!!!!!

Why don't you like fish? Did he take a pie off you or steal a chip?

Oracle rules KA.

He has coached for 2 years and took his team into a Grand Final - his coaching record in finals in much better than Fishers. Just the same as when they played together at Nth Ballarat. Clearly fisher was not at the same level.

Your big improvement comment is terrible and you really need to take it back.

I don't like him for the reason most don't - his terrible tatts.

Any big recruiting news from any clubs yet?

How is Strath shaping up? And is it official that Singh has been cleared to Eaglehawk?

Good call Max. Talking to blokes around town from other clubs, it seems that at the moment, (apart from the few big signings made public lately like Bell, Singh and Davies) players are "tyre-kicking" until either
a) they know where their mates are playing before they commit, or
b) they may be able to squeeze a bit more cash playing clubs off against each other for their services.

Just the way it is, can't complain about it just get on with the job.

It looks like an interesting 2009 though. Lots of changes for a lot of the BFL clubs.

Haven't heard much from the Kyneton or Castlemaine camps? What's going on there? Darryl? Greenman?

I think the 'tyre kicking' analogy is pretty spot on Doc. Kyneton players are reportedly training with Woodend, Macedon, Lancefield etc. Still getting pretty good numbers at their own training nights though and a few new heads around the place. Spotted a huge bearded bloke there last night.

If you have this much info surely you must be in the know at the club and you wouldnt need to ask who won the B&F.

For the record we had a tie between Jordan Barham and Gareth Bowes

Both of these blokes have been recruited by the Port Magpies in the SANFL, how do the followers of this league think they will go?

maxy, been on the case of the bombers for about the past 3 weeks on this one. they still won't confirm that saad is playing for them, so no story yet.

Hey goat - do you do much work in the off season in reagrds to following the comings and goings of coaches and players? Any ideas on the teams that will be strong in 09?

say the only work that Goat does is go to the Central Footy site to get his stories by the look of the paper.

Going to be a better 2009 for the Dragons getting Fitzy back will be a big boosty and Staggy is flying atm like he was in 04 when we held the cup up high. Hows everyone else travelling?

do a bit here and there kingy, but generally clubs don't give away too much at this time of year, so it's a good chance to give a few other sports, i.e the cricket, some publicity
