Jamie Packer and Super League. what else do you go for? Bears, Dockers, Titans, Warriors, are a few new clubs in various sports nationally. What is better and what would you have taken?

What about the Strath Searchers, as I believe after a couple of years of 20 goal floggings they will be looking for a new league.

Any news about ins and outs for clubs??
Many big names leaving the BFL in season 09? Or entering the league?

I can advise that the jumper for Strath Storm will be the same as the Geelong traditional jumper (blue and white hoops). At this stage there are no plans to change the design of the jumper which includes any use of wording. Maybe this will happen as an alternative "clash" strip in years to come.

As for the name of the Club - "Storm" seemed to roll off the tongue easy with the word Strath, as well being a unique team identity in Aussie Rules (find me another Storm Aussie Rules FC in Australia ??). Ranga's referred to the old Mandurang association with the juniors, in which had no association with the senior body.
Wouldn't it have been the wiser move to associate the junior body and senior body? Obviously there will be the struggle to get enough players for 3 teams so the direct move from the juniors to under 18 level to senior level would come naturally for the players if the two bodies were combined but because there not wouldn't that leave options for the young players to go elsewhere?

The reason that the Club chose the Geelong colours was to recognise the link between the formation of the senior club through the Strath juniors. In saying that, the junior body is a separate Club like most other junior Club's. Obviously the senior body will be forging strong links with the Junior club to ensure that there is that natural progression to the senior ranks.

I am led to believe that there will be some major changes to the structure of junior/senior clubs within the region over the next year or so. Have to wait and see what happens !

Any word on who these players are that have committed to the Storm? We know who the coach is but the media keeps quoting that around 10 people have committed but doesn't give any names. Is that becuase they are just hacks that couldn't get a game elsewhere?? Or is there some quality there? Names anyone?

Ive heard the people who have committed are mainly thirds players from a couple of BFL clubs who played juniors at Strath and a couple of blokes from the LVFL

In saying that someone committing to a club means nothing these days need a signature on a clearance form.

19 seniors players signed clearances at the Storm's open day held on Sunday. Not sure on names but can advise that most of them will be seeking clearances from BFL clubs.

Is it true that the Storm need to meet monthly targets set down by the BFL before they are officially accepted into the BFL. I am led to believe these targets include player numbers, support staff, sponsorship and membership.

If this is right then so far every club has lost 4 players to the new team. Have to be borderline senior players to make the switch you would think or maybe Under 18's now into senior ranks.

Good to see Kyneton have finally made announced who will be coaching next year in Paul Houston.
Read on another page that Dryden has left for Darley and that Tate was unlikely to stay at Kyneton

tate a very good player chf is best spot but in a good side a flank would suit him and would be hard to match up on.dryden only goes ok and should have moved on years ago.kyneton needs to get rid of the dead wood..could they go any worse without them??

Wes Bell played a praccy with Mounts in 08. apparently he had had a major ankle injury and was seeing how it was. Didn't see or hear of him after that. Eve played at Mitiamo last season
Bell actually played at the Flat got the shits about something and didnt play after that

from memory never had a problem gettin the ball as it was always going down there alot 2004/5 2003 was the last time tigers played finals beaten by sandhurst in the elimination final have not done much since that. 2007 was the last time i saw the tigers play. had some good players over the years. Tell tigerman95 how come they all leave. Would have a fair side if they could retain players. dryden in a good side is a gun. what happen to his mate Obrien?
:confused::confused::confused:

just cause the ball was down there doesn't mean he could get near it. he struggled. (contrary to what he would have everyone believe)
on your other point - "the wheel turns , eventually!!"
