Continued in Part 7:

Donnie Darko.

Really had no idea what this movie was about until I researched the concept after watching it.

Clearly the main protagonist was seriously disturbed but was he always like this or did this manifest during his time in the "Tangent Universe"?

Didn't expect time travel was the underlying theme of the movie either.

Hamilton Disney+ 3 hours

I rarely watch musicals or attend in person but this may get me to see some more

I knew the barest of bones on Hamiltons life (and in some cases I had flipped the narrative ) - so this gave me a greater insight into it

It runs along at a great clip and goes and goes and goes. Some great songs delivered in rap, hip hop and pop/ballad style

The cast was magnificent and the staging brilliant.

I'm gushing like a stage door johnny but its worth a look

One of my fave films - haven’t seen in a while though.

I’ve probably watched Donnie Darko 5-6 times. Still not sure I fully understood it
one of those movies where I think the Directors Cut is inferior

I don't think I've watched any past 2 or maybe I saw 3 on TV.

Which is the one where they fight with motorbikes?
Yeh that’s 2 it ain’t great.

3 is good and has Philip Seymour Hoffman and pretty much since 4 they’ve all been really good.

Fallout is incredible and one of the best actuon films of the last 20 years

I think my arthouse is a como. As a cinema it absolutely sucks. Tiny cinemas and shit sound. I hardly ever go to cinemas anymore.

we we don't go heaps but its nice occasionally to grab some popcorn and sit without the temptation to look at the phone

I really only go to the cinema either for:
  • films that are unlikely to come to streaming services anytime soon (e.g. lots of foreign films or recorded theatre shows, such as Prima Facie with Jodie Comer, which was ****ing awesome), so Cinema Nova in Carlton, or
  • big action blockbusters that are worth shelling out Imax bucks for (e.g. Endgame, Dunkirk).
