So Rockliff isn't in the top 25 midfielders in the comp?

Heppell is a B+.
What the **** is all this 'AAA' nonsense? There's A, B, C, D with either a + or a -. If Gary Ablett is an A+ then Heppell is a B/B+.
By your logic, no one from north is no higher than a B.

Ablett = A+
Watson, JPK = A
Rockcliff, Heppell = B+
Swallow = B

about right?

I'd have Cunnington at a B/B+ level and Swallow's best at a B+/A level. Swallow was leading the Brownlow at stages last year and was in the top couple for multiple rounds but dropped away after breaking his achilles.

Cunnington is a clear tier below Heppell, I don't
think many neutrals would disagree with that. Stanton was leading the brownlow a few years back, so it doesn't mean much. If you rate swallow that high from a purple patch last year that means Stanton should be similar ranked because of his purple patch? Heppell is above both stants and spitta.

I'm going off pure footy skills, Spitta is a good leader and has great courage. Heppell has shown equally good leadership skills.

Heppell does not kick many goals, lacks a little penetration in his kicking, not strong in the air or in contested marking and not super quick. Aside from this he is extremely clean on the ground and a fine decision maker. Probably lacks the athletic qualities to ever be super elite. ABC player of the year or Brownlows will not change that. However on his way to being a champion. I think champion status should be judged over a decade of play

Only twice in heppells 82 game career has he had less than 15 disposals. only 17 times in his career has he had less than 20

He had 14 touches against the brisbane lions in his 8th game, and he had just 9 touches against the kangaroos in round 21 last year. (albeit after being subbed out in the First quarter)

Dyson has been stiffy inducing from his very first game, and he just continues to get better

I'd take Cunnington over Heppell, for sure. Also, it wasn't a purple patch. He was having a career best year and then suffered a serious injury. Anyway, back on topic, Heppell is B/B+.

Will be having something on the kid for Charlie.

With Watson missing so much footy, he's a very good thing.

Too short. If he was $16-17 maybe but at $7....just can't see how he is getting 25+ votes. I have him at BEST on 19 right now!

First few years of his career have been better than a hell of a lot of superstars first few years

This kid is a deadset gun who actually gets underrated at times surprisingly

A grade for me

Tier AAAAA - Ablett
Tier AAAA - Pendlebury, Selwood, Watson, Fyfe, Dangerfield, Johnson, Kennedy
Tier AAA - Beams, Rockliff, Gibbs, Sloane, Cotchin, Griffen, Boak, Mitchell, Jack, Lewis, Barlow, Harvey, Ward
Tier AA - Heppell, Murphy, Deledio, Liberatore, Swan, Martin, Hannebery, Jones, Priddis, Mundy, Montagna, Parker, Swallow, Hodge, Steven
Tier A - Stanton, Wines, Tyson, Smith, Judd, Prestia, Hartlett, Ellis, Shuey, Ziebell, Cunnington, Hill

That's some pretty spot on rating. Only changes, I'd take Stanton out and put Goddard in his place and drop Gibbs down a level for consistency reason.

****ing LOL @ Judd's high rating.

Might want to watch a few more games. Has no issue taking marks in packs and when bodied. I actually think his marking is a strength of his. I agree the kicking goals, penetrating kick and leg speed are his weaknesses at the moment however.
