At this stage Nasiah is ahead of every kid you've mentioned bar Sheezel. If you're talking about where they'll get to sure, but anyone can play that game.

Example, "I wouldn't take anyone in the league ahead of Phillipou Travaglia Tauru and Wilson right now knowing where they'll get to."

You should know as you've been playing the game for years at North and it looks like you still are.

To compare Us with you is your biggest mistake. I have seen 2 live, my Dad has seen 4 live, I'm tipping you and your dad have seen 0. Yes you've gone close, incredibly close, but not over the line because of factors within and outside your sphere of influence.

You're on a hopecast, I'm on a shitcast. We can agree to disagree. We are short another gun forward, you are short a few gun mids amongst other things.

Maybe we both get lucky. I'm tipping that you have to get luckier to salute than we do, that's all I'm really saying.

My uncle and cousins are mad 'Halo Club', I'm across St. Kilda more than most outsiders and you'll never hear a bad word about Ross from me.

I wish you all the best and hope for your sake you're right. As I mentioned, you're on a hopecast, I'm on a 'wait and see'cast, I'm usually fairly reserved but that wheel is turning, irrespective of your outsiders view - which you're entitled to have.

Lol right-o.

StKilda FC is living rent free in his head. Gauging by his monotonous shit throwing it must pain him significantly, pleasing.
St Kilda have done nothing in forever and saying 3 top 5 picks are going to be better than a bunch of later picks isn’t “shit throwing” either.

Saints live rent free in no one’s head.

Nah you're right, what would I remember about trying to rebuild from Mid-Table? Of course.

Keep telling yourself your mids are better than ours. I'm worried about Hawthorn (because they know how to win), GWS (because when they learn how to win they'll be hard to beat), ditto Freo, ditto GC, Carlton possibly, Western definitely but not you for obvious reasons.

I haven't said anything about our mids being better than yours. I just find it amusing that you'd take all these guys on your list ahead of Nasiah including one that hasn't played a game yet. Nasiah is one of the best youngsters in the comp.

Anyway keep up the backhanded crap about how good your club is compared to ours. I'm glad we help you sleep at night. Right now we have a young side and can still win games. Think we may surprise a few next year too including yourself obviously.

Meanwhile hopefully you can get more than three wins with all your incredible young players.

I merely responded to your hopecast. I said we were on a shit cast, and I don't think it's outlandish to suggest an 18 or 19 year old, picked in the first few is going to be better than someone else, who's a few years older and playing well.

I'm sorry I don't fall down, weak at the knees at the sight of a StKilda youngster playing well. Maybe he'll prove that I'm biased, maybe he won't. That's unfortunately our and your, reality.

It's not backhanded, it's based on history. It's purely a statement of fact, that it goes against your own individual hopes for your club or beliefs that they can do no wrong is unfortunately, your problem.

I'm merely sprouting my beliefs as you are, we both wouldn't swap, maybe I'm too loyal, it's beside the point. I have much respect for St.Kilda fans, I wouldn't support the game if I had never seen my team win the ultimate. You have my respect, I can't give you guys more than that.

Imagine if the Dockers get Warner this offseason?

2026 midfield will be: Warner, Young, Brayshaw, Serong, with Darcy/Jacko the ruck combo. All under 26, and have won All Australians. That is full cheat code stuff.

well won't be pies dads army

The Magpies have comfortably the oldest (average age 26.3)
I am curious on how many players on the pies list are aged 23 or under.

Don't know why this is burnt in my brain. 2008 season... Hawks vs cats grand final. Neither side had the oldest list.

It was the dockers. Finished 14th out of 16th that year. Only had 7 blokes aged 23 or under. The next worst had at least 18.

Still remember those 7 blokes too. Rob Warnock that was traded. Rhys Palmer, Clayton Hinkley and Chris Mayne from the 2007 draft.

The last 3? Marcus Drum, Steven Dodd and my personal favourite: Brock "Lesnar" O'Brien .

(9) Geelong
Jack Henry
Brandon Parfitt
Esava Ratugalea
Gryan Myers
Quinton Narkle
2 years on and 3 aren't here. All not up to it.
But Holmes, SDK, Stengle, Dempsey and Henry showed more than enough.

Shows why lots of takes in these threads never come off, hard to predict next year let alone further out.
Not sure it really matters. No one rated ours 2-3 years ago
Ditto.

Bigfooty, the place where perennial loser clubs stockpile picks than their fans wank over. Better to be young and shit than trying to be a winner.
But how many drafts have they won?
None. Dodoro won them all, silly.
StKilda FC is living rent free in his head
One of those statements where even you are typing not believing it to be true.
St.K.F.C live rent free in no one's head. More surprising when they gain fleeting relevance.

The Cats have a pretty good starting 18 for a 26 and under team:

FB: Mullin SDK O'Sullivan
HB: Zuthrie J.Henry Humphries
C: Dempsey Smith Knevitt
HF: Miers O.Henry Close
FF: Stengle Neale Clohesy
FOL: Conway Bruhn Holmes

Much better than we had in the 2019-2022 era, anyway.

Here's the top 3 according to Marc McGowan.

I'm not sure. All he said was:

"Which clubs have the best youngsters in the AFL?

We have ranked each of the under-23 groups, based on top-line talent but also depth, proven performance and potential."

Freo was my vote in the poll, but he had you guys at 7th.

Although Freo did have the oldest list that year, the figure of seven 23 and under players is a long way off. I had to research it myself because it sounded so bizarre.

Ages at round 1, 2008 (games played that year in brackets)
23: Andrew Browne (5), Michael Johnson (20), Adam Campbell (5), Paul Duffield (11)
22: Ryan Murphy (9), Byron Schammer (21), David Mundy (22), Andrew Foster (1), Ryley Dunn (3), Kepler Bradley (9)
21: Robert Warnock (9)
20: Marcus Drum (9), Garrick Ibbotson (19), Chris Smith (0)
19: Brock O'Brien (2), Calib Mourish (0), Chris Mayne (17), Rhys Palmer (20), Clayton Hinkley (0), Brenton Connelly (0)
18: Luke Pratt (0)

One of your listed Dodd was 24.

Quite interesting as from that group - Mundy and Johnson went on to have great careers, and then only Mayne and Ibbotson were around come your deep finals runs that started in 2012. Fyfe, Hill, Ballantyne and Barlow were all very sharp selections that came in 08 and 09 that steadied the ship.

at the end of that season, all those 23- and 22-year-olds are at least 23 years or older.
