Shame for North and Hawks fans that West Coast are comfortably the worst side in the comp and will get Harley Reid.
West coast will split it for multiple picks.

In the context of this thread where we’re talking about youth, one week of bad goal kicking from a player who has a career goal kicking percentage of 61% is not all that relevant.
We need to work on our goal kicking no doubt, but you’re labelling our young players performance as “complete garbage”, when in reality most of them performed very well across most aspects of the game, against arguably the premiership favourites.
Which shots are you referring to? I remember one where Fog should’ve passed to Walker but am struggling to recall any other examples of “selfish football”.It wasnt just the accuracy. There were half a dozen times when they blazed away at goals burning a team mate who was open and in a much better position. Incredibly selfish football.
Lewis, Newcombe, Worpel, Reeves, Jiath, Nash, Day, Moore, Scrimshaw, Ward, Mackenzie, MacDonald, Brockman, Weddle will be all on the list in 8 years time.If it's a dozen then it'll be pretty remarkable.

My attempt at a Best 23 Youth for ADE/HAW/NORMaybe, but I gave it a crack anyway...

I think Logue is a bit older than the other guys but couldn't think of who else could be the FB.

Happy to hear from everyone about who should be in, who shouldn't, etc!
It was quite hard, there's a few 25 year olds, but it's interesting if you say you 100% don't, and who comes in.
The older boys were Worpel, Simpkin, Larkey, Zurhaar.
James Sicily is a key defender, his contested defensive loss % is elite, it's 14.3, playing as a key defender, rotating with Sam Frost, Josh Weddle (1 game) and DGB (1 game) aswell as Blanck in the first two.The last few weeks have been an improvement on the first few weeks but the fact is we have won 2 of our last 11 games. Those wins have been against Gold Coast and north Melbourne in Tassie. In those 11 games we have kicked over 80+ points once and have averaged 64 points a game.
Our forward line and back line are bottom 3 in the comp..I’m aware mitch Lewis has been injured and will make a difference but he has next to no help & that’s not changing for another 2-3 years until Max Ramsden develops .
It’s the same is the back line. Sam Frost is currently our best defender. He would struggle to get a game at any other club. James Sicily is not a key defender. James Blanck and Denver Grainger-Barras are stuck at box hill.
We will not play finals until we have another quality key forward and two quality key defenders.
Surprisingly, our midfield that was an embarrassment the previous three seasons has been fantastic this season and will only get better.
Larkey is better suited to being the bloke in the goal square, he just doesn't do enough up the ground, and he's better deeper imo, Fogarty has more versatility being in the pocket where he can decide when to stay deep or go higher.Fogarty full forward. Larkey in the pocket.
Fogarty actually competes aerially rather than looking for cheapies out the back.
Soligo for Nash. I'm a big Nash fan but think Soligo is picked ahead of him for now unless Nash can back up his recent up tick in form for another 8-10 games. (nevermind just saw Soligo listed on the field!)
I'd be speechless, as i am writing this comment about how ****ing untruly brutal that'd be, best midfield ever by far if it eventuates.Melbourne have two first round picks this season, including freo’s which will be a top 5 pick.. they can send those two picks plus their first next year. The eagles would be made not to take that.
Imagine adding Harley to a midfield with Oliver. Petrecca. Viney. Brayshaw.
Larkey is better suited to being the bloke in the goal square, he just doesn't do enough up the ground, and he's better deeper imo, Fogarty has more versatility being in the pocket where he can decide when to stay deep or go higher.
And yes Soligo on field! I didn't want Nash on a wing so bench suits, and the two wingers i picked aren't going to be wingers but have and can play it well enough.
Was close to it, but Ward has played a fair amount of time on the wing, don't think he ever starts HF, doesn't play HB, he's either starting wing or midfield and his CBAs are rarely above 10, so he's a winger imo, Soligo has a similar role as someone who starts HF or wing and gets 7-10 CBAs.Pick Jones if you want someone on a wing. Ward can fight it out with Nash for a spot on the bench.
Scrimshaw lucky to be in there tbh but he’s probably about with the other hbf contenders. My attempt at a Best 23 Youth for ADE/HAW/NOR

Scrimshaw is at his best an absolute lock in that D50, one of the first picked. Struggling with an injury atm which is why he's played sub, he'll be back in as soon as it's 100%, his game against North was a good example, 25 @ 88% (15 kicks 7 intercepts 1 goal 8 score inv 9 marks 1 cont 4 r50 6 1%).Scrimshaw lucky to be in there tbh but he’s probably about with the other hbf contenders.
Bench seems a bit unbalanced

Mostly 24 year olds for the Hawks there, they'd want to improve quickly or they'll miss their prime. My attempt at a Best 23 Youth for ADE/HAW/NOR

Its not a great exercise as majority of the Hawks higher draft picks and younger are 18-20 who arn't better then the other sides 22-23 year olds currently in their development, not saying they will all be stars, but its hard to compare (Mckenzie, Weddle, Brockman, Butler, DGB, Stephens, Macdonald)Mostly 24 year olds for the Hawks there, they'd want to improve quickly or they'll miss their prime.
Probably one of the worst takes I’ve seen in this thread. Can't see North or Hawks contending for 6-7 years.
Bookmarked for 6-7 years from now.Probably one of the worst takes I’ve seen in this thread.
No club is that far away from finals.
Indeed.Bookmarked for 6-7 years from now.
In 8 years these guys will be 32/33 yr olds.Lewis, Newcombe, Worpel, Reeves, Jiath, Nash, Day, Moore, Scrimshaw, Ward, Mackenzie, MacDonald, Brockman, Weddle will be all on the list in 8 years time.
They aren't Carlton. Can't see North or Hawks contending for 6-7 years.
Already been 7 years for North, you think they're closer? They aren't Carlton.
They are just shit. It's a pity your takeover of them got knocked on its head.Already been 7 years for North, you think they're closer?
