Scrimshaw as a kpd wouldn’t be a long term plan, and if it is, then Mitchell is not the coach I thought he was.
I don’t why you’d be playing 4 kpd but only 2 KPF’s anyway.

Can you give link to those stats?
Worrell plays third tap because we have Murray and Butts.

Fair enough on Curtis but i think he has a higher ceiling
Scrimshaw is currently playing as that. I’d be happy to give Worrell the nod into the side over Scrimshaw aswell, I thought it was pretty tight nonetheless.

They’re on the afl profiles of players on the afl app, he does but blanck is competing with Murray and butts because he’s playing FB.

Well then you’d be in a minority who thinks that.

How could you pick Blanck over Butts or even Worrell for that matter?

How does Thilthorpe miss out? Would take him over Reeves in the ruck for starters.

As discussed, crows and north SHOULD be daylight ahead of us

As discussed the question was posed before the 2021 season. It’s taken 2 years for that gap to open up
We are daylight ahead.

North aren't though... but they may be next season if they can make the most of their talent.

Ok so let’s pick this apart into two.

Worrell would come in for scrimshaw for my updated side, and Blanck is better than Butts. He’s the FB here.

Thilthorpe is competing with Lewis and Fogarty. Not happening. He isn’t a ruck and Reeves is clearly the best ruck of all 3 sides under 24 (KPP)

It’s something we can revisit at the end of the season, or start of the next.

Also it’s a lot easier to nitpick. So make your own side and see how you go!

Why is he better than Butts?

22 wins to 20? As someone stated they started well before the hawks
Not sure they had the amount of thrashings last season as Hawthorn have had this season.

Also, the players seemed to play for Clarko back end of 2021.

Why is he better than Butts?
Stats are really similar besides the fact Blanck is playing in an overall worse side and has more genuinely noticeable traits as a key defender I don’t think Butts has. Closing speed being a big one.

But here are the stats:
2.5 1on1 losing 25.7% of them. 4.7 spoils.
2.9 1on1 losing 26.9% of them. 5 spoils.

It’s almost identical, but with Butts being in the system longer, more experienced, in a better team. With “my opinion” I have Blanck ahead because when you look at how good they are talent wise, Blanck has clear strengths that benefit him as a defender. Closing speed & reading of the play (ability to KILL the ball with spoiling)

Once again it’s easier for all three of you, Kane McGoodwin & 1990crow to nitpick at me for my side, without actually making one yourselves.

Adelaide probably the most even spread of youth. North with higher end talent but smaller in number. Hawthorn weakest of the lot.
Hawthorn with 18 players 99 games or less today. 12 of them under 50 games.

Adelaide with 17 players 99 or less, but 9 under 50 games.

North with 14 players 99 or less, and only 7 under 50 games.

I’d rather have Tilthorpe as ruck than Reeves. How many marks did he take today playing against no opposition ruckman. How many the past 2 weeks?
May well be the worst ruckman in the game at the moment.

And Adelaide streets ahead of both Hawthorn and North.

Of course you'd take the guy with 4 hitouts yesterday over someone who had 29 before being subbed.

And can’t take a mark. And you lost the clearances with such a domination. And Carlton played with no ruckman. But yeah, great player….
So good he was pulled from the ground.

Hawk fans seem to have very low standards/expectations when it comes to what they feel is acceptable performances from their players.

You have no idea if you think Reeves is a good ruckman. Even an average AFL standard ruckman would have had a field day against Young and Silvagni.

Of the 13 games he has played this season, he has taken 0 or 1 mark in 10 of those games.
I’ll leave this one to SYL!

He's a 210cm baby giraffe, so if you expect him to have peaked it once again says more about you than anything else.
