LOL, you couldn’t even find a post from me talking up Greene like you said I had, now you double down anyway. 😂
Why waste my time? I upset you when I said he wouldn’t be on an AFL list in 2 years and wouldn’t get a game at another AFL club.

Because I laughed at your post? 😂

I laugh at your desperation in here all the time. Doesn’t mean you upset me.

Ask Dom. He’ll tell you Greene tracking like Gunston of a few years back.

So you've got nothing?

I'm well aware of Dom's hyperbolic nature but let's not make up bullshit.

Adelaide probably the most even spread of youth. North with higher end talent but smaller in number. Hawthorn weakest of the lot.
Steve Bannon Bingo GIF

Since North and Adelaide started their rebuilds in 2020…well, North started 2020 with Rhys Shaw coaching thinking we would make finals. That fell apart, and so did Rhys. We then hired the worst coach since Mark Neeld and went backwards after cutting half our list. Then needed to replace the entire football department and start again. So our rebuild - under a competent coach and football department - begins this year. We are rebuilding a failed rebuild.

Crows have had the same coach since they started to rebuild. The two sides aren’t comparable — only someone with no knowledge of reality who is trying to score points on an anonymous forum could fail to understand that. Crows are three years ahead of us cos our first rebuild failed. Good for them.

Check in on North this time next year once we’ve had 2 seasons under a competent football department and fitness regime. At present the two sides are not comparable. We’ll see in two weeks how North vs Hawks are tracking.

What about this season indicates that North are now being run competently?

What’s the point in having a conversation about youth if we’re not going to also discuss how said youth is coached and developed?

Bingo, this is why I've confidently been declaring for the past years Adelaide and Hawthorn have better youth.

I think the margins tell the story.

Adelaide beat the Hawks by 3 points. Not having Day/Mitch Lewis is cancelled out by Tassie (Crows aren't the best travelling to Tassie). Close game. Hawks could have won if we took our chances and Sicily stayed as the plus one in defence rather than going forward. Crows didn't play to their best either (I'd like to think our pressure played a part in it but they certainly looked 5% off). I think if we play that game 10 times in a row I'd still say the Crows win 7 times to the 3 to the Hawks.

Hawks the younger of the two teams but only 10-15 game average separating them.

Crows beat North by 10 goals at home.

North the older of the two teams by roughly 10-15 games.

It's pretty clear as day now that it's the Crows > Hawks >>> North.

Even more damning when it's Hawks > Crows > North in terms of how experienced of a side each respective team is putting out week in and week out. North are going with almost 30+ games worth of experience over the Hawks on any given week.

Liked the look of North's top end talent. Sheezel and Wardlaw are going to be hard top for any of the three sides but there's a whole load of trash between their best players and their worst.

top end talent is the key though. You can pick up reliable footsoldiers easily enough. In terms of being a genuine flag threat in 3-4 years, I'd be choosing Roos.

Tell that to Carlton.

I think I remember Blighty once saying that to win a Premiership you need 20 guys who would be top 30 picks in their draft year (if you were to run it back).

Near perfect sides like the Cats, Hawks and Lion's of the 21st century fit the bill for both cream of the crop top end talent as well as a spread.

Hawthorn have 3 defenders in Blanck, Weddle & Seamus Mitchell. 4 midfielders including the ruck. Reeves, Ward, Day & Newcombe. 2 forwards in Moore & Lewis and 2 on the bench with Brockman and Scrimshaw.
Total: 11

Sheezel and Wardlaw can be in the team. Phillips is a spud, Thomas far too inconsistent.

Thomas has just came back and since so has been good. I rate him highly as a talent, and his performances recently have been good enough.

Phillips is the next best imo, i rate him highly, he is immensely clean & one touch whilst being creative by hand and hard at it.

Scrimshaw is too old, replace him with Thilthorpe.

And Worrel is better than Blanck

I’d have Curtis in before Brockman

Scrimshaw has been playing KPD. So 24 "isn't too old".

Worrell is not better than Blanck playing the same role, has been more third tall.

Blanck is a FB, Worrell is a third tall.

Worrell loses 33.3% of his contests. He's competing with Weddle. Which is as a third tall role.

Brockman is better than Curtis, that is completely laughable. Curtis averages 0.5 goals and 8.9 disposals for the year, he goes at 63% DE and has just 3.5 score inv

Brockman 0.9 goals 11.5 disp 81% DE and 5 score inv

Although it's beyond clear Brockman is the better player, he has been an immense impact for us and we missed him alot today.

Is calling other posters trash the only response you have?

When someone isn't aware who Newcombe is I would take their opinion with a grain of salt.

None of Vinnie's opinions are reality. He doesn't back it up with ANY EVIDENCE, gets the players wrong, misrepresents what people say, only comes in to dig in the boots in a game where umpiring was woeful and not a true reflection of the difference in the two teams.

Take Soligo out and put Frenchy in. 😉Younger with a much higher ceiling.

Scrimshaw as a kpd wouldn’t be a long term plan, and if it is, then Mitchell is not the coach I thought he was.
I don’t why you’d be playing 4 kpd but only 2 KPF’s anyway.

Can you give link to those stats?
Worrell plays third tap because we have Murray and Butts.

Fair enough on Curtis but i think he has a higher ceiling
