Very few players in the whole league had more impact than larkey in 2023.

Anyone claiming otherwise is hopelessly biased.
When you say impact, do you mean impact a game? I don't mean to sound sarcastic, but if North won 3 games, how did Larkey actually impact?

Marks inside 50, goals, drawing two defenders and all of the intangible aspects of forward craft that based on the eye test just really impressed me from a key forward playing in a team that, as you said, won 3 games (and I actually think that they were worse than the average 3 win team).

At the start of the season I didn't have him anywhere near the top 10 KPF in the league. He proved me, and many others, wrong in a massive way.

Unlike people like Curnow, he didn't just beat up on basket case teams either. (I will say though, I really liked Lewis's season too. I wish we had seen him healthy all year)

Must be why the Hawks went so well last year.
Double down if you like.
Anyone who doesn’t rate Hardwick as one of the premiers small defenders is a dill.
Nash was one of the most improved players in the league in 2023, and a player that a club like Adelaide whos midfield is a clear weakness would cream themselves to have.

Lol you love to over-egg the pudding don’t you

You’re upset that I pointed out the weakest area of the crows list, I get it.

Crows players under 25 team (30 players)

F. Gollant. Worrell Rankine
Hf. Schoenberg Fogarty Soligo
C. Nankervis Berry. Cook
Hb. Hamill. Murray Jones
B. Curtin. Butts. michalanney
R. Thilthorpe Pedlar Rachele
I. Bond Keane Parnell Murphy Dowling Sholl McHenry Taylor
Borlase Ryan Edwards

If we wanted a Connor Nash in our midfield we’d bring Keays back into the rotations. Like Keays in 21/22, he’s a great stop gap option but will never be elite and is at best a fifth cog in a premiership midfield. In fact, Keays’ 21 and 22 stats are comfortably superior to Nash’s 2023.

You must be part of the Crows list management team, with such a disregard for big bodied mids.

Nash is 198cm.

So you disagree that the midfield is the weakest area of the ground for the Crows?

Do you think it’s the backline?

I disagree that we’d ‘cream’ ourselves to have Conor Nash

Midfield/ruck definitely isn’t our strong suit currently, but we’re not so desperate that we’d kill to get a just solid player into the side

Only as a result of some pretty serious AFL interventions but I think the answer is now North.

Backline is still pretty terrible but their midfield is going to be very very good. ...
Everyone thought it was North 2 years ago. The problem is they still have to develop all this talent which has been an issue at North

He’d be your best clearance winning mid 25 and under, by a margin on 2023 stats. 4.7 clearances a game.
Not to mention what he does for those around him with that size and strength.

Height doesn’t equate to quality. You’re overrating your own if you think clubs are envious of Hawthorn having Nash. Again, his stats are worse than Keays’ were in 2021/22. Good short term option. Won’t be starting midfielder for a contending side.

That was about the time CCJ, Goater and Jacob Edwards were going to tear the comp up.

What does age have to do with anything? He’s 25, certainly not youth, so he’s irrelevant to the thread question, so why not include Crouch and Laird who both average 6.4 clearances?

Why don’t you read back why he’s being discussed if you’re so confused.
