Your right, we really need to look at ruck options and Seaby would have to be considered but what we would offer.....who knows.

Sure it's been said on other occassions but we have a few WA boys which could be offered up but whether it's two of them, one plus a pick or just one player no idea.

Cassissi, Surjan, White, N Krakouer & Pettigrew. Of course I'd love to offer Pettigrew and our pick 72 but don't think it would be accepted :p.

Realisically I'd be thinking something like Surjan and/or a White may be on the table with a later pick??? Really don't know, whats your thoughts.

Seaby for Pearce would get as close to a clean swap as you could get.

You need a ruck / forward we need outside mids with pace.

Both have had dissapointing years in 2008. I feel Seaby being a developed 200cm ruck is worth more than a small outside mid so we should push to swap your 2nd round pick with our 3rd round pick or something like that to close the gap.

Don't be surprised to see Port getting chummy with the Eagles over the draft table as in a couple of years Port will be chasing Ebert and we'll only have Port and the Crows to deal with if that occurs.

Seaby is a dud. You only have to watch WAFL football coverage (west perth) to know he is going nowhere. Any injury issues to Cox and WCE are in worse strife than we are.

You dont watch alot of west perth games do you he was arguably best on ground in his last game for west perth.

Pretty hard to impress in the ruck when your sitting on the pine and getting 5 minutes a quarter.

Had a very good pre-season playing as the # 1 ruck and has started playing good footy in the WAFL after getting a good run.

He's 24, never been injured and has finals experience.

Go and name other rucks of the same age that can walk into a #1 ruck position? I'm interested in reading that list.

I'm not sure about Seaby, never seen him play, so I can't really say too much.

The BS about Schulz is driving me mad, the guy is worth a straight swap, he's no better than Damon White on his day. Williams already said they won't be trading early round draft picks.

I really would like to snare King, but then I have a liking to the lad, and I have a soft spot for the Tiges.

Assuming we get Naitanui, we are going to need someone up forward, I'd love to see Didak, ??? Motlop
Ebert Westhoff Pearce

I don't know why Choco is saying we want to pick up big name players, and then wants to keep Tredders, if he ends up we get more money for players.

I'm glad for him cos that's the only accolade he can muster. Besides one swallow doest make a summer. AFL is a little bit different. Delist at year end

Pre-season.....who cares! Pound for pound in the rucking division he would have to be one of the softest guys going around. Frankly WCE cant afford to have Cox off the ground

Krakouer, White and our third pick for Ebert and Seaby.

Seriously, I don't normally buy into these trading threads, but you're having a lend aren't you? Tongue was firmly planted in cheek when you typed that out, surely? I hope you were.

White >>>> Seaby
Krakouer is a rare talent, as good as Pearce

Ebert is just your average typical midfielder, but he is an Ebert, that's the soul reason he is talked about.

If White > Seaby, I am the pope! Seriously, talk about pumping up hack players!

I honestly saw that as a reasonable trade.

White and Krak would probably do better at home in WA.
I'm no expert on Seaby.

If you grab Rich in the draft Ebert isnt so necessary to you but you gain a crumbing forward, another tall forward and a 3rd round pick in a good draft.

We gain Ebert and a backup ruck.

If you were a recruiting manager at trade week you'd be the joke of the week.

White, hasn't been in Ports best 22 for......well ever. He can't ruck and at West Coast he'd just be playing WAFL behind 6-8 other KPP players. A total waste of a spot on the list.

Krak for Ebert, time will tell but right now we can't trade Ebert even if we both wanted to, and we don't. Voss stated Ebert was a future AFL Captain......is Krak?? If Voss finally get's the GC job he will have spent two years coaching Ebert and will be in his ear to come with him, and if that's the case we'd be looking at a sub # 5 1st round pick plus a later pick IMO.

See PAF just when I think you might be reasonable you go and post this :D

Whilst Seaby has gone backwards this year he's shown far more than White ever has at AFL level and finally looked to have some touch back in the game against the Aints. Krakouer may well be a rare talent but on what he's shown at AFL level atm he's certainly not close to equalling Ebert in terms of value.

For Port to get Ebert back it'd cost them one of:

Top 10 draft pick and decent player

or

Great young player and late 2nd rounder.

EDIT: Did he mean pick 3 or a 3rd rounder? Pick 3 makes it fair....

If Brad Ebert is worth pick 3 in THIS year's draft, boy, did the Crows royally screw up passing over him for Dangerfield.

We'll learn about Brad during the 2009 Trade week

C'mon, you should know I'm kidding...

Ebert aint worth 2 players, especially a top pick this year, this draft is better and its much more crucial due to the expansion teams soon.

Please name the 6-8 KPP players that would be in front of White right now.

Or is name calling your idea of a valid argument?

i got a feeling it could be daniel kerr. mark williams said it was one of the elites in the league and that we had plenty of space in our salary cap. i also remember reading after the dreamteam match that kerr loved the way mark williams spoke.

I think it would be krakouer + surjan/cassisi + 2nd rounder > kerr

  1. Glass
  2. Hunter
  3. Lynch
  4. Hansen
  5. Kennedy
  6. Mitch Brown
  7. Wilkes
  8. Spanger
  9. McKenzie
    10. Notte
    11. Graham
White would be on a similar level as Graham.

As to name calling calling your trade suggestion is laughable and is not name calling, if your worried about what I said you need to toughen up and even better don't put hacks up for trade and expect a serious reply.
