Larrikin, of all people i thought you would have been against this.

What on-field sucess are we going to get by rehiring a junkie, who is 31 next season, cmon? or were you being sarcastic?

Cuz has probably been on recreational drugs for years, but not in season, as he never tested positive.

is there any doubt that had Cuz played every game this year our position would be very much higher up the ladder?

Wont sign it even if you held a gun to my head.

Nothing to see here kiddies move on.

Cousins was one of my favourite players in the history of this club, but whats done is done. He made promises and broke them. Now you want to take him back on the same promises with massive sanctions hanging over our heads from the AFL??? When we are trying to get rid of the cancers from ur club and get back on th right track off field as well as on.

Thanks for the memories Benny but the for the good of our club the door is closed.

What cost would that be?

Is it related to the VFL sanctions hanging over our heads?

Witch hunt...found nothing.....fair?

Can't get mixed up between what Cuz has done, been found guilty of (nothing), and how we have been set up by the VFL fools.

He was turning up to training sessions still effected by drugs and was missing sessions becasue of his big nights. The AFL isnt to blame for the Eagles sacking him, they really had no choice. Carlton did the same with two of their players, they just werent stars like Cousins.

LOVE Cousins but I think he's done too much damage to our great Club. I definitely don't want to see him play with any other club though - I hope he trains for 6 months then bows out.

There is an issue about fairness even human rights. The club and the AFL say he was sick then treat him like a criminal. He was done in a kangaroo court. If he has done something wrong let he should be tried in a regular court. Otherwise he should be permitted to go about his business. His adjusted contractual situation made by WCE with a person acknowledged as being sick was probably unconscionable. He should be reinstated and given every chance to recover in dignity. Besides we need him.

This stuff just makes me crazy.

How many chances do you want our club to give him? He f*cked up on numerous instances and we gave him enough chances to prove himself to us and he didn't. And please don't argue that the AFL forced us and there was no proof! He has admitted he has a drug problem. What more proof do you need??

I love the guy and it will break my heart when he plays for another club, but I don't want him back. He has done his dash.

Yes I will sign it. It is clear that WCE management acted badly. If it is OK for Cousins to be able to play for another club it is OK for him to play with WCE.

:thumbsu:, if it comes down melbourne way im sure you'll find a few keen people within the Melbourne based cheersquad ;)

The same standards of proof and evidence that apply to criminal law do not apply to employment contracts

Thems the facts

ffs he's a confessed drug addict...he admits himself that he doesn't know if he can stay off the gear and you recommed that we take him back.

I will as soon as i find out who started it, and where i CAN GET my hands on that piece of paper.

I t was reported on the television news.

I think if we can get 100,000 signatures Cousins will come back to his correct spiritual home.

Hey Hey.

Cousins, Kerr, Rich, Masten, Ebert, Priddis.

Now that looks cool.

WHat a load of cr@p

Oh man I would love to sign it just to see that number 9 rip thru the middle of the ground hitting Lynch , Hansen , Mc Kinley or Kennedy on the chest but it's over for Ben poeple we have to move on Dam it...........

Just signed it. Currently 2335 signatures.

The way I see it. WCE was part of his family and family support their members with drug related issues. He may have hurt us in the past, but it was the drugs, not benny. Forgiveness i'll say. But if he fcuks up again I wont be happy. Stay clean for three years then retire, then consume as many drugs as you want.

For those who say WCE is a business, I know this also, so shut up.

Cousins was not sacked because he admitted to taking drugs he was sacked for constantly bring the clubs name into a unfavorable light.
Remember the BRING the GAME into DISSREPUTE charge.
Meaning he was not the best person at the club on a personality level.
Do you really think that bringing cuzzy back would be bennifical for the club or detremental to the rookies.
Yeh we might win a couple of games, he alone wont win us another flag and the damage he does to the young players attitudes could be far worse as they will say oh what ever we do as long as we have a break we can play again if we are good enough.
I said he should recieve a 5 year ban from AFL footy when it first came out and I stick by that now we dont need him and we should want him.
I hope for his sake he is drug free and healthy but I dont want him a the club anymore.:thumbsdown:
