I love them both.

White gets points for longevity and producing a better father-son prospect, Farmer gets points for being one of our most watchable players ever (if not, the most).

Wizard, just.
Echo these sentiments. Wizard’s 2000 season was pretty much the best I’ve seen from a Dee. Absolute box office.

Jeff White (1998-2008)
Debut: Round 1, 1998
236 games, 95 goals

  • Club B&F

Jeff Farmer (1995-2001)

  • All-Australian
  • 3x leading goal-kicker

EDIT (07/11/23): Results:

Jeff Farmer advances to the next round. Jeff White has been eliminated.

White extremely unlucky with that draw, IMO.

I reckon White is the stiffest to be knocked out so far. 236 games, All-Australian, 15+ games for 11 seasons, comfortably in the top handful of rucks in the competition for several years, top 10 in the Brownlow in 2004.

Should have put him up against Gus Brayshaw or Tom McDonald then

Yeah I'm hardly an expert but I don't really see how this one is close.

Junior was a consistent good honest battler, good defensive player, limited offensively.. Hibbo was elite at both. Stunner to me also.

Heart and soul player maybe?

That usually translates to "was reasonable despite being surrounded by potato" to me tbh.

I absolutely love Hibbo – one of my favourites. I'd argue his only 'elite' offensive season with us was 2017 when he made AA. He averaged 27 touches that year, whereas for the rest of his career with us, he only averaged about 15.

Obviously disposals aren't the be all and end all, but I'd say he started off as an elite offensive player, but certainly became much more of a defensive player as time went on.

His 2017 year probably eclipsed any of McDonald's seasons, but I think Junior was probably more consistent for longer.

Still, tough one!
