AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Have been told with 100% certainity that it is infact Colin Sylvia.
Sylvia wanted to stay with the Demons but at the end of the day both him and the club were very very far apart in terms. Sylvia wanted in excess of 500k to stay whereas the Demons were only making him offers maxing out at 325k a year. GWS was approached by Sylvias agent about a month ago and were told "Match these terms and he is yours". GWS did a slight bit of negotiation in terms of length of the deal but they accepted monetary terms and he has signed on the dotted line. Sylvia wants to do a Phil Davis and make a imminent announcement of his intentions to leave the Demons (without confirming club this time) but Lyon put a halt to that last week.
At this stage it seems Sylvia will announce his intentions to leave the Demons without naming a club with a trade organised come trade week for his signature by GWS.
From what I gathered he is going to earn 500-600k at GWS.
Wow huge backflips in the space of a couple of days then
"Yeah, I definitely wanted to stay with the Dees," Sylvia told afl.com.au.
"It was a big challenge for me personally [getting dropped]," Sylvia said.
"It hit me pretty hard to be dropped and I probably didn't expect it but something's got to give when you lose by 186-points, doesn't it?
"Probably didn't expect it to be me but it was and hopefully I can look back and really draw something positive from it and maybe look back and think that was the best thing that could have happened to me.
How does that compare with the deal Taylor Walker signed with GWS?
It compares pretty favorably with the deal Nathan Djekurra signed with the Doggies.
Feel free to provide a link to your post breaking that deal, along with the eight or so other deals you claim to have broken.
I'm happy to link to any number of your complete bullshit stories. Seaby to Collingwood, Nicoski to Richmond, Chad Cornes to GWS, Griffin to Sydney...
Here we go:
Nicoski agrees 2-year deal with Richmond
Seaby 100% off to Collingwood (those pesky Sydney rumours were a smokescreen because really...
Jon Griffin is off to Sydney
Jon Griffin is off to Freo or Port (12 months earlier)
Adam Thomson to Essendon all but done
Yeh all sounds positive. . Actually read the article and not the headline junior
No big fish has been landed it is Ed just saying what he has been told by gubby. The truth is gubby has been all talk and so far has delivered no one with a big profile. I'm hearing very strong mail that Scully will be staying at Melbourne as when he was talking to GWS he was told that they had 1 of the big 3 from Collingwood secured yet he hasn't. So next year GWS will be starting with Davis and Palmer ( as ward is staying with dogs) as the big fish and I consider them to be nothing but tadpoles. This is the problem when people over promise and under deliver.
It's Mitch Clark.
What about Sam Fisher? Is he under contract?
Sam Mitchell?
