I can't believe I'm saying this.. maybe jet lag and possibly the early stages of Dengue fever but I'm kind of warming to the idea of Scott.
I don't need warming. Have always thought he was an excellent coach who is very underrated and got an enormous amount out of a middling playing list with little to no extra resources available.

We'd be lucky to get him IMO.

At North he went:

9th, 9th, 8th, 10th, 4th, 4th, 8th, 15th, 9th and resigned/sacked when they were 14th in 2019.

They were pretty strong defensively from 2014-2019 apart from 2017 too, so whilst I've never considered him to be a fantastic coach he definitely has a resume that is far better than Hird's

We’ve interviewed dengue fever for the position?

These really are desperate times at Essendon.

If Brad Scott is not interested I am warming towards a Hird/Solomon combination. Both outstanding relationship builders and you know their hearts will be in it. We need to bring some sort of vibe and culture back to the club and I think they can do it. Not sold on Yze anymore to be honest.

Both terrible defensive coaches for a playing group that doesn't know how to defend.

If Dean Solomon were a former Sydney player instead of Essendon everyone would look at his coaching record and be repulsed that we'd consider him for an assistant job.

We all have our bat signals in life.

Eth’s current one is undoubtedly Dean Solomon. 😂

He is spot on though.

It’s amazing that wearing red and black allows the blinders to be put on.

I’m even hearing people bringing up the fact that Scott hasn’t coached in three years, but for Hird, who has been out 7 years, it’s all good.

I'd be interested to know what has put Solly in front of Yze for you.
