Whilst I’m not on board with Voss as a senior assistant if McRae gets the gig I’d have no issue with him getting the main gig himself. The guys forgotten more about footy than most will ever know and he was only a good support structure around him from being a decent coach at Brisbane. He also comes from the best system in the league and I’d kill for some Port intel right now (in the right circumstances).

That 09 season at Brisbane he got a team that had spent 4 seasons outside the 8 to a SF and they thought they were closer than they actually were when they got Fevola and a few others. The 5 years after he left they went 24-86 with the go home 5 being as disastrous as our 2020 off season. With a good football manager in the seat in 09 they’re probably a top 4 team by 2012 with Hendersen, another 1st Rd pick, prime Mitch Clark and cap space.

Especially as it’s at least 20 years too late.

Lethal did try and get Voss to the Pies as an 18yr old, the biggest mistake Voss made as coach of Brisbane was bringing in Fevola.
I hope the panel do not choose Voss as coach and I do not think they will but I would have loved him 30yrs ago as a player.

Given he hasn't even interviewed. They crossed his name off on the news. I think he is more considered for the afl job
