Has he spoken back to them? I don't wanna get my hopes up on speculation......
Bit worried about why anybody from QLD or WA would want to bring their families "back to Victoria"?
I'm not sure on how many assistants clubs can have, but I think he suits us. Possibly Hawthorn.

hearing Sanderson and Harvey out.
25 afl assistant coaches are currently unsigned next year

It would be stupid to have Leppitsch in a dual assistant coach and list manager role.

Smart man.
he would have won some credibility competition wide in the process at Collingwood even though he didn’t get the top job.
Further experience and exposure outside of Perth is a very smart move for his future prospects

Would love Graham to come on board.

McRae as head coach, Leppa as senior assistant, keep Skipworth and Jamar in the box and Selwood back to being a development coach.

Graham and Tapping also in the box soft cap permitting.

If we can find a way to get Buddha back that would be fantastic.

I don’t think McRae would like the idea of working with a guy who was in the shortlist against him for the top job....just saying

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but just looking at the rumour/news today that McRae is coming onboard. I'm reasonably happy with this but the news about Leppitsch coming with me is concerning.

Does anyone else remember the incident in Brisbane where he allegedly had a player in a head lock/choke hold? I can't seem to find it on line. Maybe I'm searching the wrong terms. I used to have a great Lions source back in the Voss/Leppitsch coaching era and the word I had from inside the club is the bloke is toxic. I'm willing to give him a second chance, he seems to have done good things since leaving butam, concerning.

Thoughts?

Interesting..
Trusting McRae on his appointment.

They had nothing but good things to say about him as an assistant at Richmond.

People make mistakes
his work at Richmond has been exemplary from all reports
If this is who McRae wants, so be it.

Its not as bad as our former coach taking his koumbaro for a 10yr ride with him

Happy it's not Clarkson or a recycled senior coach.

I will pour a 40 out for my homie McRae in 3 years time when everyone blames him for the list still being young and sh*t.

I think Wright has the situation under control, no concerns here.
would like to see a choke hold go down in the coaches box though, would be good viewing.

He found the top job difficult up there, pinned a bloke against the wall in one sign of frustration.

These things happen, as we saw when Bucks gave Witts a shake-up along the boundary, but Leppa seems to have found a better place for himself as an assistant.

Nothing but good things said about him since.
