He lost his players and turned the club into a rabble with his terribly ill advised preseason camp. No thanks. Can't believe there isn't more support for Pyke, literally the most proven candidate in very recent history, camp aside.

Haven’t ruled anyone in or out. Just think Luke Ball is a good operator/football mind. Are you that desperate to rule Ross Lyon out of contention?
Collingwood will not necessarily target a big-name replacement for Nathan Buckley and are open to a first-timer being put in charge as the club embarks on their first in-depth process to find a new coach in decades.
Magpies football director Paul Licuria said the club did not have a preconceived idea of the type of coach it needed, whether that was an experienced hand or someone lower-profiled.
'No young coach could go in there and do it': Malthouse calls on Collingwood to replace Nathan Buckley with an older coach
Former Magpies coach Mick Malthouse says Collingwood should be targeting an older candidate, rather than an up-and-comer like Sam Mitchell, to replace Nathan Buckley as AFL coach.www.abc.net.au

Interesting video. Honestly I think his personality while coaching comes across as slightly unlikable and not genuine. Couldn't quite out my finger in it while watching but it didn't resonate with me at all.
Thought the moment where he was on the phone directing the player to play on the other side of the ground and said thank you at the end felt passive aggressive and weird.
MM is 100% right - a Newbie would be completely overwhelmed especially when the media dogs start circling during a stretch of losses.
They give little respect to Newbies as we are currently seeing with Teague.
Only a seasoned Coach can effectively deal with that pressure and manage ( ie. intimidate ) the media.
Should get Craig Bellamy in some sort of role at the club. Absolute coaching god. I don’t care what sport he gets the best out of people

I’m not saying head coach, but maybe a development role. One of the best coach’s in any sport world wideI care what sort of sport hes an expert in and so should the club.
Also if you look up antiquated opinion at a KFC franchise. That dinosaur thinks woman can't play AFL because of their body shape. Look up antiquated opinion in the dictionary and I'm pretty sure there's a picture of an old dude with a white moustache.

I’d say we would interview everyone available with the correct credentialsCan’t be verified but a poster on the Hawks board is adamant we interviewed Mitchell yesterday.
Any of Yze, Mitchell or Kingsley with Choco as a mentor figure is my ideal outcomeInstead of a Mitchell-Choco combination, what about Kingsley-Choco?
Kingsley played under Williams and has been an assistant coach for about 15 years with three clubs. Very highly rated in the industry.

Yeah Rutten was main instigatorI don't think that was a Pyke call, if I am correct it was a director move, think it was Rutten.
Worth a listen, particularly towards the end of the interview where he's asked about his coaching aspirations.Any of Yze, Mitchell or Kingsley with Choco as a mentor figure is my ideal outcome
Yep very happy with what I heardWorth a listen, particularly towards the end of the interview where he's asked about his coaching aspirations.

I certainly hope they're not locked into thinking it has to be a big name with previous AFL head coaching experience - that could make for a fairly short list.‘I begged him not to do it’: How Licuria tried to stop McGuire’s exit
Club football director Paul Licuria will consult Mick Malthouse about the type of coach the Pies will pursue, and reveals he “virtually begged” former president Eddie McGuire not to leave.www.theage.com.au
