Banter Who will be better in 2024? Carlton or Collingwood? Part 2

Collingwood supporters expect nothing different, and just go about their business.
Good to see you have reassessed from "getting the job done" , to " going about your business" . Pies into a freefall now they might have to start forming a list of potential draft picks between 30-35

You still haven't answered my question.

Probability of Carlton missing the finals, and rationale behind it?
Why don't you tell me then.

Feel free to educate me.

GO ON.

Enough is enough with your BS on this topic - put up or shut up.

Oh, so you turn it around like that?

I have consistently indicated the use of betting agency odds are (generally) a reasonable indicator, and can (generally) be used to estimate the probability of an event based on the data available at that point in time.

In the case of Carlton missing the finals, if their quoted odds are $1.01, then that can be converted to a 1% to 2% (to account for margin) probability.

You've consistently scoffed at that rationale, without offering an alternate approach.

So....with rationale:

Probability of Carlton missing the finals?

Probability of Carlton making top 4?

Probability of Carlton winning the flag?

Cripps Brownlow.

Curnow Coleman.

Go.

odd i havent been tagged by blues supporter itt this week. wheels are about to come off by the looks of it.

i suspect we will refer to the back end of 2024 as 'the chastening of lygon street'. as if that club needed it after the last 2 decades of mediocrity.

You crapped the bed against the Pies in the grand final last year.

You've been pretty mediocre yourselves since 2003 as well!

I love how you think this is some sad insult.
There may not be a 2024 flag for us (though the season isn't finished yet)
There is a 2023 flag for us though.
But from a Carlton POV.
No flag in 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013,2012, 2011, 2010, ect,ect,ect (the list goes on and on)

Win something first my friend, then talk about flags.

We have won more than a miserable three flags in sixty six years though.

You've got it wrong - they won the June 2024 Premiership (or was it the participation trophy they won?)

66 years!! Weird number to pluck out but it must suit your narrative.
I will keep it relevant.
How many flags this century for Carlton? Zero :thumbsupv1: (yep :D ZERO)
You do however have 5 wooden spoons in that time.
Yep the Pies fans are blathering away about spoons again!

You might win two games for the rest of the year if you're lucky!:laughv1:

Maybe but most people will tell you, that there is only one game you want to win.
It is called the GF!!!

We won that one game the last time it was played.

Try and at least get to one, then come talk to me.

Come back to us when you have 17 flags sunshine.;)

Pies supporters cant get their heads around the fact that Carlton have won 16 flags...just like they have and they're all history.
2024 though...which is what this thread is about.
Is looking good for the Blues...
As for the Pies...not even in the 8 at the moment. LOL.

I wonder how many of the Carlton posters are young upstarts whose experience following Carlton is 5 spoons and zero flags?

No wonder they're making hay whilst the sun is shining... but beware the Blueshakes!

Fancy trying to come up with a term to rival "the colliwobbles" - a term first coined by Lou Richards wasn't it ?
It's not taking off for you unfortunately. Pies looking bog average in 9th, blaming personnel problems, defence of the flag is shot , so the focus turns to picking flaws in Carlton. Keep trying
