Carlton not even finishing ahead on points despite doubling up on NM + Richmond, along with the 0-2 head to head record and terrible finish to the season (while Collingwood finished strong) means that the Pies are a better 2024 team as of now. If Port get the job done and Carlton win a final maybe they can redeem themselves.

Collingwood stuffed their season early on with a premiership hangover. The Blues choked away a 6 point lead on a top 2 place as late as round 16. With a list in their prime.

I'd say almost all neutrals are taking the Pies for season 2024 at this point. They at least scraped some respectability back rather than engaging in an epic meltdown.

We already said over a yr ago we weren't going to focus on draft picks and go for trade's and free agents in the future. We just get to put that into practice right away. Will mean Tassie coming into it is irrelevant. We have another crack at it next year and a first round pick won't make any difference anyway. Keep using that as your go to cope tho it's basically all you got.

Where basically even this year. Both on the same premiership points with the blues having one more win which was against bottom 3 sides while pies 1 less loss. Not to mention pies had a better record vs the current top 8 teams but as I said it's a even tie this yr. Just happy we don't have the heartbreak last second loss 2 out of 3 yrs like the blues supporter's have to deal with.
