Daicos is a rabbit
You can hate on him as much as you like, but it doesn't change the fact Daicos is a premiership player, AFLCA Coaches Award winner, Club Best and Fairest, two time top 3 Brownlow finisher by the end of his third season.

Not to mention he's been regarded by many as the best player in the game since he was a 20 year old.

Oh no, but CArr0w thinks Daicos is a wabbit!

Fudge, I don't hate on him, I think he is an exceptionally talented player, but not a goat and more a rabbit

I understand it's difficult with your cognitive bias, but facts are, Sheezel currently has him covered at the same age

GOATcos has a 5-1 record against Carlton too, what the thread is meant to be about.

With GOATcos in the team, we beat Carlton (unless we already have top spot and home QF wrapped up so have nothing to play for of course).

Pies to go 2 - 0 in the HTH against Carlton, again in 2025.

Not to mention the follow up movie - 'Malthouse and Thomas to the rescue'.

Multiple premiership coach with a premiership player who was at a time regarded by some as one of the absolute best players in competition.

How did it go so wrong?

I think you need to give Carlton more credit. That wasn’t their first rodeo.

It had also gone very wrong with Multiple Premiership winning coach Denis Pagan with Premiership winning player Anthony Koutoufides.

Hate to tell you, John Elliot is dead.
Your club has honoured that arrogant despicable boor. You named a grandstand after him while he was the serving president, an unheard of irregularity, then the ones that knifed him scrubbed it off when he was pushed out: both spineless decisions by the club.

He left a trail of rancour and court cases wherever he went. At one Carlton AGM he jeered Swan Mckay (who was there for a premiership reunion). "Were you even there?" the fatarsed clown jabbered: Swan famously played with a broken jaw.

edit: found a link to that rotten episode

Doesn't take long for you to play the poster

Just quickly on the rabbit, as this has been covered before, right now Sheezel has him covered at the same ages, by on field output, coaches and brownlow votes

Daicos is a rabbit
...and Carlton are lettuce. He's played in 5 wins and only one loss to the Blues.

Maybe you need more quality in your salad? Too much potato and mayonnaise, Cripps the only solid ingredient.

Does it make you feel better about your miserable self when you refer to a 21 year old AFL player who has achieved more in his life than you have or ever will as a 'rabbit'?

So your comeback is still directed at a poster rather than the subject matter?

Exceptional talent, just not a goat, but will be somewhere in the top 10 for his career/era

Pull yer head in fudgey - no need for that type of posting - nasty begetts nasty.

Given he's performed as the absolute best player in the competition over the past two seasons, his second and third seasons in the competition, that's quite a bold prediction.

I agree with everything you say about Elliott's behaviour - labelling every supporter with that is a bit of a reach though- most of the posters on here have had the pleasure of seeing the damage he did to the CLub and wearing it on the chin - more than I can say for any other Club's supporters.

We are in fact the gold standard of stoic endurance in the face of adversity - and mostly cop the wet lettuce insults with Laconic indifference.

Gloating will come for the Blues - it has been a long time in the still - like all fine single malts - but order to teh AFL with the Mighty Blues on top is being restored.

It's actually hilarious that he edited your factual post about Carlton being incapable of winning a Preliminary Final or Grand Final - after all, they haven't done so in a quarter of a century, with their list having objectively gone backwards this off season - by simply substituting Carlton with Collingwood - a team that won BOTH a Preliminary Final AND a Grand Final as recently as all but one team in the competition...

You do realise you did describe your own clubs season right?

Hang on, aren't you the poster that keeps telling us this is a 2025 thread. Make up your mind. The Blues should take 10th and run. That would be a great result.

Replying to yourself now?

'Being restored....'

By continuing to fail to contend for premierships, let alone win one, despite more than two decades of building and rebuilding with high first round draft picks?

LOLOL.

We are still in 2024, so I think it's appropriate to discuss this season and next

Great so in 2024 Collingwood have won a premiership more recently than Carlton, have beaten Carlton more recently and we see Carltons Premiership drought extend. Thanks for admitting we are better.

The past is the past and the future is yet to be written - you are hammering the 'list hasn't improved' line which has been refuted on multiple occassions - no doubt that Collingwodo have enjoyed a better start to teh century than Carlton - so what? - again- it is the past and despite all this repeat 'success' the scores are level in flag counts.

I'd say that being in a position to use yoru own words of "continual contention" and yet with a free ruin for 25 years - again using your own words - only being able to score twice is more proof that your Club has squandered mulitple opportunities to jump ahead ...all the supporting stats and narrative around that is mere fluff ...at teh end of the day 16=16.

Now looking forward, I understand you hanging on to Naicos as a saviour- because anyone that can do the sums can see too many of your too good players closer to the end than the start of their careers. Unfortunately for the lad he will find himself soon enough in the same situation as Cripps did years ago - trying to carry your club on his shoulders and playing a lone hand in the effort.
