So you're telling me the fact Collingwood have objectively improved a list that won a premiership in 2023, compared to Carlton who didn't improve a list that is yet to even contend for a premiership let alone win one, 'means sfa towards 2025'?

Hmmmm.....
No. What I'm telling you. Please keep up. Is that prior to 23/24 has sfa to do with 25.
Who's list has or hasn't improved is opinion only and everyone knows your opinion on Carltons list.
No point naming names or providing a list because you under rate our list anyway.

I do rate Jagga Smith.

But I don't expect him to single-handedly compensate for the combined contribution of the players you have lost in the off season, in year 1 of his career.

Still waiting for a Carlton supporter to give me a list of the in's and out's for 2025, and explain to me how the list is better year on year.
The only player I will miss is Kennedy - one of my favourite 'blue collar' battlers.

Cuningham/Marchbank/Martin were never on the park

Owies....don tmake me larf cost us finals two years in a row for being a choker - good luck to him.

Of course there's no point naming names, because we all know what the answer will be.
You asked for "a list of our outs and ins" and that it would be "clear the Carlton list has gone backwards, at least for 2025".

Seeing as how "we all know what the answer will be" and seeing as how you asked the question and you're part of us "all", how about you, in all your wisdom, tell everyone this list of outs and ins, with your evaluation of the players involved.

As you love to put it.

Go.

Pies geriatrics are apparently excited about Perryspud in action. Lmao if I ever needed to hear one line that summed up how cooked a list is that was it.

Will be lucky to make the top 8.
Our old gold geriatrics are like Rolls Royce's crossed with Hilux's. All class that never dies! Year after year they turn up to beat your sorry asses. Old reliables.

Watch and weep as our silver fox grey nomads put your mob to the sword again. Just like they did this year...Twice!

We were also excited when we saw Billy Frampton receive his premiership medal.

One day you guys might realise a deep and balanced squad wins a premiership, and the top end players win the individual awards.

Then again, you might not...

+ Carlton folks need to realise that Premierships are won in a month of the year called “September”.

When Carlton supporters go outside and feel that the weather is hot, and they see the nights are long, and the calendar says it’s February - they need to realise that it’s not the time of the year that Premierships are being handed out.

This is the same guy who spent all year talking up Nicky Squibcos for his individual brilliance and how amazing it will be when he wins some individual awards????

I have come up with a dream Carlton matchup. I have taken all those players that have played in a Premiership for Carlton in the 21st century and made a best side out of them. I have previously listed this team. I have matched them up against all those Carlton players who have won a Preliminary Final for Carlton in the 21st Century but have failed to win a flag. The cream game. This brings together the best of the best. The line ups are as follows.

Premiership Team
B
HB
C
GF
F
R
R
Inter

Preliminary Final Winning Team

B
HB
C
HF
F
R
R
Inter

Wow these line ups are littered with Champions on every line.

My abacus tells me the result of that game will be the same scoreline as Carlton had at the 50 minute mark of the 2024 Elimination Final.

Thats what I thought..just checking coz the way you go on about finishing 8th I thought they might have started giving out trophies for it.
Btw...
They gave us a trophy for beating your sorry arses.
2024 Trophies:
Carlton 0.
Collingwood 1
I missed this, you're spot on, the Peter Mac cup. Can't believe Carlton would show distespect for this wonderful cause.

Pies have more silverware than Carlton in 2024. Carlton had superior sheduling.

You are trying to school a bunch of us Carlton supporters about when flags are won - when literally most of us have seen Carlton win more than double your sorry arses. Cute

All this talk about Carlton's depth being seriously cut from 2024.

Let's have a look at the players that have left the club and how many games they actually played in 2024:
  • Matt Owies (23 games)
  • Matt Kennedy (23 games)
  • Jack Carroll (15 games - quite a few as sub)
  • David Cuningham (5 games)
  • Caleb Marchbank (3 games)
  • Jack Martin (3 games)
  • Sam Durdin (1 games)
  • Matt Carroll (0 games)
  • Alex Mirkov (0 games)
  • Domanic Akuei (0 games)
So only three players (Kennedy/Owies/J.Carroll) that played more than five games in a season where Carlton had a lot of injuries.

We have Docherty and JSOS who played 20 and 16 games respectively in 2023 coming back from LTI who should at an absolute minimum cover the absences of two of Owies/Carroll/Kennedy. We then bring in Haynes who I hope will play more than the 3 games of Marchbank or the 1 game of Sam Durdin. Smith as pick 3 is a much better fit in the midfield than Kennedy/Carroll and should be looking to play a bulk of games in 25'.

On top of that we bring in the Camporeale brothers for pretty much nothing who should provide some added depth and a developing KPD in O'Farrell who again I would hope can be healthy for more than 10% of the season unlike the names in his position above. Also have some promising key position players that we can take in the SSP that will provide more important cover than the likes of Akuei/Mirkov.
