Because I love so much the fall and fall of Carlton these sort of posts are manna from heaven. You may as well just be saying we have given up, we are in the shite forever.

Easy for me to say Carlton were the better side in 24. You were. We were bad abd you were badly flawed but better than us. But really its nothing. The two wins we had against you easily balanced out 8th v 9th.

What I do enjoy more is that Carlton really seem no closer to solving their 29 year journey into being a disaster club. For old blokes like you the 8:3 call is just a mantra these days. To tell you the truth my Carlton mates, who are your vintage, have all pretty much given up on that. They give up without a fight these days.

For the Blues supporters 50 years and younger though all this 8:3 stuff they will see as palaver. All they have known is their club is a whipping boy, a team not to be proud of. Their life as a baggar has been miserable. When you rave on about the old days your younger brigade will just be thinking. "FFS grandad, do you talk about anything else, stop with the ancient history". The longer those running your club continue to live in the same thought lines as you, and they do, "Guess what we are cooking", Sticks 2 flags in 5 years etc etc it will continue. Its magical for the rest of the comp.

Might just have to settle for 3 in 4 years instead of matching our record of a 4peat.

I'm 44 and came to Oz when I was 16. 95, went to the GF and it was glorious, been fairly slim pickings since then.

It was a meltdown. Thats the word for it.
I was trying to work out what Meow had said that had them so rattled and riled up. I thought he might have said something about Bruce Doull's mum but nup couldn't find anything particularly controversial. Then it just turned into a mass pissing contest and let's just say Meow was uphill and using a firehose and the Carlton pitchfork mob were down hill, down wind and just using their teeny little Weiner's.
