But not surprising you haven't been able to comprehend or remember it.

'Every swallow has a summer', and that summer for a Blues supporter was an 8th placed finish win an Owen 60 Elimination Final humiliation.

Blues were playing with house money in the final Fudgenator. As soon as we finished above the cooked Pies the season was a success, nothing else mattered after that!

Good question. Honestly I'll take the former. I've taken Sinjin Jnr to 4 games v the Pies and he's never seen a win.

Because I love so much the fall and fall of Carlton these sort of posts are manna from heaven. You may as well just be saying we have given up, we are in the shite forever.

Easy for me to say Carlton were the better side in 24. You were. We were bad abd you were badly flawed but better than us. But really its nothing. The two wins we had against you easily balanced out 8th v 9th.

What I do enjoy more is that Carlton really seem no closer to solving their 29 year journey into being a disaster club. For old blokes like you the 8:3 call is just a mantra these days. To tell you the truth my Carlton mates, who are your vintage, have all pretty much given up on that. They give up without a fight these days.

For the Blues supporters 50 years and younger though all this 8:3 stuff they will see as palaver. All they have known is their club is a whipping boy, a team not to be proud of. Their life as a baggar has been miserable. When you rave on about the old days your younger brigade will just be thinking. "FFS grandad, do you talk about anything else, stop with the ancient history". The longer those running your club continue to live in the same thought lines as you, and they do, "Guess what we are cooking", Sticks 2 flags in 5 years etc etc it will continue. Its magical for the rest of the comp.

Also I like to guess to myself where Blues posters in this thread lie on the club demographic. Arr0w is easy cause he outs himself as an ancient. I would put good money on Worm4 being the same. Robertio I would have maybe 40'-50's. Saw a little bit of the good stuff but cant really remember it. WalshistheGOAT has to be a young bloke ( for his sake I hope he is) and no doubts still believes everything his dad says given he still laps up everything older Carlton supporters tell him. carlton_99 is harder to pick as seems the brightest in the group so less inclined to swallow Carlton propaganda. Means must have more life experience than young Walshy so I put him with Rob

This thread is about 2025 though and why shouldn't a supporter of any club not be up and about this time of year. In fact this time last year Fadge was predicting a dynasty for the Pies and they failed to make the eight.
