There's no excuse for what Carlton did. you were our brothers, our mentors, and you turned from the path of righteousness.
Another Ricky Bobby Bagger, a fan of not making GFs so you cant lose them.
Pies in our "down period" from 1961 to 1984.

Missed finals 7 times
Finished last and claimed 1 spoon
Carlton's current "down period" 2001 to 2024 aka the 21st century

Long may Carlton continue to not finish top4 so they can never make another GF but importantly protect their GF winning %, much better to keep claiming spoons.

Yeah but the Collingwood 1958 to 1990 experience, constantly finding various ways to squander and lose grand finals that is it's own form of humiliation and torment i think.
You hate us and we hate you that's how it works, but some of your posts do show signs of psychological trauma that is still prevalent from that era in you.
Granted we have been poor for quite a considerable period of time, yet i would be of the mindset and mentality that when the stakes are at their highest that Carlton will always prevail over Collingwood.
It's just one of the facts of life! As for the modern-day Carlton well at least we aren't Essendon who last won a finals game twenty years ago.

The odds of meeting Carlton in finals in the last 3 decades has been incredibly low. Not our fault.
At least Essendon have actually been good enough to finish top4 and play in a GF in the 21st century.

In the battle between the once were VFL powerhouses, Carlton are hands down the biggest flops on every measure
Blues 5 spoons, Dons just 1
Blues 9 bottom 4 seasons, Dons 6
Blues made finals 7 times, Dons 10
Blues 0 top4 finishes, Dons 1
Blues 5 finals wins (4EF and 1SF), Ess also 5 finals wins (1PF, 1QF and 3EF)
Blues 0 PF wins=0GF, Dons 1 PF win =1GF
But the Baggers "brag" is that they haven't lost as many finals as Essendon

Yes 24 completed AFL seasons in the 21st century.
Carlton and GC the only teams to never finish top4.
And even Essendon have won as many finals as Carlton.

Well they are pretty slim, particularly given Collingwood play Qualifying Finals, Preliminary Finals and Grand Finals, whilst Carlton play Elimination Finals (and if they're very lucky the occasional Semi Final).
