Merry Christmas all. Remember that whilst our love of our Pies or your Blues runs deep in us, there are more important things in life. Enjoy the time with family and friends. Always my thoughts at this time of year are with those Kids and Boorais (babies) who are not with their families or are not in safe families. Stay strong little ones, things can turn around quickly. Merry Christmas to one and all.
The next Essendon finals win is extremely important.

So what?

How does any of what you provided prove Walsh is a 'better runner' (whatever that means) than Daicos?

An article from 2021, a year before Daicos started his career?

Come on, man.
Fudge, Squibby this year was in the top 5 for distance covered 4 times. Not once exceeding 15km in a match.

In comparison Walsh at the same age averaged 15.43kms a game and was in the top 5 runners for the match all 23 games played... He twice reached over 17kms covered for the game.

Squibby runs a 6:30 2km, Walsh a 5:54...

U can argue Daicos is a better player, but to argue he's a better runner than Walsh is living in the land of delusion and falsehood.

And Walsh now?

You need to stop living in the past.

Your subjective (biased) opinion.

But objectively, Daicos has absolutely performed as the best player in the game across 2023 and 2024, his 2nd and 3rd years in the game.
If you gave every coach in the league pick of who they wanted to win a single game, do you really believe any of them other than Farcical Fly would choose Nicky over Bont?

I won't pretend I can talk for the coaches like you seem to be able to, but it still doesn't change the fact Daicos has objectively been the best player in the competition over the combined 2023/24 seasons.

Let's see if Sheezel can elevate his level.to the best player in the game, as a 20 year old, as Daicos did.
Easily has him covered and in a bottom 4 side

That argument worked for a while but not anymore. Daicos was a Premiership player and All Australian by 20 years and 9 months. Sheezel can be neither by 20 years and 9 months.

Swap teams, and so do the accolades

Sheezel's 2024 season versus Daicos's 2022 season

As SOTY said.... looking forward to seeing Sheezel performing as the best player in the game across a full season by the time he's 20 years and 9 months.

You're the one with going down the age argument route...

So Daicos had 4 matches where he was in the top 5 runners, and Walsh had 7 where he was in the top 5 runners....

What about the other games?

And that settles your argument?

You're quite brilliant, Walshy...
At 21 years old pre back surgeries Walsh was in the top 5 every single game he played.

What's Nicky's excuse? You know... Given he's an 'elite runner' and all... Despite barely getting a look in with the top runners most matches for distance covered or repeat sprints.

Just more hyperbolic drivel from the Pies faithful regarding golden boy.

No, he wasn't, Bont had him covered, objectively
You desperately want to believe that, but that doesn't make it true.

IF Bont was marginally ahead of Daicos in Home and Away (and that in itself is debatable), Daicos overtook him in finals.

In the same way Neale overtook Cripps and Daicos in the 2024 finals series, as a better player across the full season (but was behind Heeney).

They'd all take Daics of course, what a weapon, stuff Bont
