Carlton played more games against top 4 sides didn't they?
If you haven't figured it out yet, the ladder is compromised based on different H&A fixtures.

Port weren't the 2nd best team last year, but they got easiest H&A fixture and turned that into 2nd on the H&A ladder.

Only Carlton fans think getting Port twice was a harder H&A match-up than getting Brisbane twice.

Daicos is more likely to become the GOAT than those players premiership players...
Shifting the conversation again, I didn't say that those 2 players would be the GOAT but Jagger could become a very good player as well as those 2, lets see if Carlton destroy them like you say.

Revisionist analysis, brilliant

Carlton will finish 13th to 16th in 2024

Draw released, Carlton will finish 13th to 16th in 2024

End of the season, Carlton had a soft draw

Maybe if you comprehend how the AFL ladder works it would save us a lot of posting as well
The ladder is no longer a reflection of "who is better", instead which teams were lucky enough to get an easier fixture.

Port got the softest H&A fixture in 2024, but a Carlton fan thinks they were the 2nd best team because of where they finished on the ladder.

Who thinks Carlton were the 2nd best team?

Not sure any Collingwood supporter has disputed the fact we had a poor year by our high standards.
So you say that Carlton made the eight because of an easy draw when the Pies couldn't beat a side that finished below them once, can you think about that one?

Couldn't beat the Suns, Dockers, Bombers x 2, but apparently we had the soft draw

Seems like the Pies had the soft draw and couldn't make the 8
